Uniqueness of the 7D-2 requires lots of help
The 7D-2 has a PDF manual and I printed out about half of it. This book is superior in format and content. I wish Canon had made this book the manual as part of the total package. True, the author here has had to start in the end zone in his tutoring "dummy" readers (never liked that) and some of the elementary material will be skipped over by veteran photogs. But the book has enough that bores into the complexity of this very sophisticated camera that charitable readers should tolerate the broad audience. Most of what I'm looking up in the Sahlin book is the multitude of choices, usually made once in the ownership of the camera. Example: how you want the two storage slots to share the files. I've had to look that up already several times. I miss a chart of error codes and miss the ... The 7D-2 has a PDF manual and I printed out about half of it. Mark 7D for dummies.
Great assistant in the use of my new camera. The basic manual included lacks so many details and used vocabulary only a profession might understand. The camera is almost entirely digital. I used this book and the phone hand in hand for many nights just to start getting good quality photos outside of the full auto mode. This guide is a life saving tool in my opinion. I travel wth this guide whenever I'm out on a shoot. Great assistant in the use of my new camera. The basic manual included lacks so many details and used vocabulary only a profession might understand. The camera is almost entirely digital. I used this book and the phone hand in hand for many nights just to start getting good quality photos outside of the full auto mode. This guide is a life saving tool in my opinion.
