This book is such a case , do we really need a book , written by a person , who thinks there the only one in the world ,WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO USE THE NAME 'Peggy Sue '', To write a book. trying to ride the coat tail of a legend like BUDDY HOLLY ? I think not . Maria Elena Holly said that Peggy Sue Gerron's "Whatever Happened to Peggy Sue?" is unauthorized and will harm Holly's name, her reputation and that of her company, Holly Properties. "It's very interesting that this woman makes up all these stories," Maria Elena Holly said from her home in Dallas. "He never, never considered Peggy Sue a friend." The name Holly originally intended to use was Cindy Lou, Holly's niece, Larry Holley said. So I guess what we have here ,is someone trying to get RICH by taking someone else's property. I say save your money BUY A BOOK ABOUT THE REAL STAR , ''BUDDY HOLLY . Not some HAS-BEEN .

I know some people don't agree with this book, but I don't see any reason why Peggy Sue would lie, best book I've ever read couldn't put it down
Once you get this book, you will not put it down until you finish reading it. Love the memories and stories from Peggy Sue to Jerry Allison, from dates engagement yes, concerts, music from the 50s which is the best music ever I was born in the 80s but definitely 50s is my kind of music. I am a Hispanic from Mexico who fell in love with Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, and the Big Bopper after their February 3rd 1959 tragic airplane accident The Day the Music Died! From then on I became obsessed with anything from the 50s or early 60s! Thank you Peggy Sue for sharing the most intimate details of your life. I highly recommend this book worth every penny.Once you get this book, you will not put it down until you finish reading it. A good read!
I bought this book earlier in 2015 because I wondered what happened to Peggy Sue. When the song Peggy Sue was popular, I had no idea that she was a real person. I graduated in 1960 from a small Oklahoma town, so her description of life back then reminded me of a lot of things that I had forgotten. She tells her story in a realistic fashion, and the descriptions of the people in the book ring true with the other books that I have read about Buddy Holly. Peggy Sue and Travis Holley were interviewed in Lubbock on the PBS radio show Prarie Home Companion on April 4, 2015. (it was a rerun of a show that originally played on April 27, 2013) If Peggy Sue had lied about her experiences with Buddy, I don't think that Travis Holley would have appeared with her. A look back at a great time in American music history through the eyes of youthful exuberance
I enjoyed reading about these great singer songwriters in there exuberant youth and those who grew up around them. I remember where I was and what I was doing on "The Day The Music Died" Anyone around in those days will enjoy this read of "Whatever Happened To Peggy Sue"

It's a worthwhile read.
I wasn't aware this book existed. It was well-written, even though it's clear that Ms. Garron was not a professional writer. A good read.
