Compact size, powerful zoom and takes great pictures
I had a Canon SureShot 70 that took great pictures for many years. So when I dropped it and it broke, I decided to look for another Canon. I found this one on eBay for 1/3 the store price. Brand new in the original box. And just as expected, it takes great pictures with really nice color. The camera is compact for a 35mm --- it's actually smaller than my old SureShot 70 --- and very stylish. It's easy to use and has a very powerful 180mm zoom. Yes, 180! It uses regular 35mm film, rather than APS film which costs more both to buy and to develop than 35mm. At first glance, most people think it's a digital camera because of the screen on the back. The screen displays the date and the other settings, and is always "on". My only suggestion to the designers at Canon would be to dim ... OUTSTANDING BARGAIN
I recently purchased on eBay a like new Canon Sure Shot Z180 35 mm camera outfit with manual, and case in the original box for the great price of $5.99!! Right now (May 2010) you can buy this camera new in the box (mfg. 2004) from Amazon for "only" $399.00 (that's not a typo!)or used at $95.00. Hardly any 35 mm cameras are being made anymore, but many people still prefer film and may not be a computer whiz. I guess that's why Amazon wants so much money for a 6 year old (but still new) camera. I think they were well over $200 brand new in 2004 because this camera is very advanced and versatile with a powerful zoom lens for such a tiny unit, but is still very simple to use. And if you really need a digital photo, you can just ask for a CD when the film is processed. I have 2 Canon SLR ... I bought one of the first Sure Shots that came out in the early 1980's, and over the years I bought several more as new models with new features came out. So I have taken thousands of pictures with Sure Shots and have never, ever gotten a bad picture! The exposures have always been right on and the pix very sharp with no technical problems ever, so you can't beat them. I also have a like new Z155 Sure Shot also from eBay and only $10.00. I like the Z155 a little more, and I want to become an eBay seller soon and so will probably resell the Canon Z180 for a profit. I also collect antique cameras but live in a small town with no camera store for over 50 miles, so eBay is perfect for me when shopping for collectible cameras. Many thanks, eBay!

FABULOUS FIND!!!
I am so excited to have found this camera!!! I have one EXACTLY like it that I bought over 15 years ago!! It stopped working summer of last year!!!!I have not been able to use it yet due to the price of 35mm film tripling in price just in the last 2 years!! It seems Kodak has stopped making the film I need for this camera!! I will get some soon! The camera works, COMPLETELY scratch free!!! Only thing missing was the instruction manual which I already have!! The listing did state there were no instructions w/ the camera!!I am so excited to have found this camera!!! I have one EXACTLY like it that I bought over 15 years ago!! Canon Sure Shot Purchase
I bought this camera for my dog sitter. She had always admired mine - and I was unable to purchase it at a store. (Everyone has moved to all digital - and this camera is "old fashioned" - with film.) I purchased this for her as a gift, copied my instructions from my camera and gave it to her. She was thrilled. Don't know if she has used it yet, but I was so happy to be able to give her something extra that I knew she really wanted. I was happy to be able to find it on e-bay - and - on top of that - the price was right!! Thanks.I bought this camera for my dog sitter. Canon Sure Shot Review
As of right now I love how you can zoom in and fix the focus on it. I had a canon in the past and within a year it was broke and the company wouldn't stand behind it to fix without a cost to me. I vowed to NEVER get another Canon, but a friend of mine convinced me to try this one. As of now it has not let me down. I will see when I get my first set of pictures developed.
