Sweet but Quirky
I understand that this film is an independent... and I am a huge fan of indies, but, this film left a tad bit flat. This is what could be a charming tale of lesbian love and a circle of friends. There are some very sweet moments. The character development is rich. The fact that it was shot in black & white gave it a nice touch. It is a nice movie to watch if you can get past the following... As I said, I appreciate indies, however, this one, in all its raw power, really took away from the story being told. First, and most glaringly obvious is that many of the women in this film are weak actors. I wouldn't even mind so much if they seemed relaxed just being who they are. They didn't even seem to be able to pull that off. This film was done in real places rather than on a sound stage. This ... This could have had a certain appeal, but the fact that the sound was so bad throughout made it difficult for me to maintain an even volume level to hear what was going on. Many times I was more concerned with finding my remote to turn up the volume that I missed key moments. I had to rewind. Part of enjoying a movie is being able to get caught up in it. There has to be a certain flow. But, with all the volume problems, I lost the flow. I would love to see this film remade with people who have some acting experience. I do not need stars, I just need to be convinced that this is not contrived... that it is real. I do think that this film does shine a nice light on many aspects of lesbian relationships. It is witty and charming, to be sure.

this is very silly and stupid movie , i believe i have wasted my money , iam not a lesbian , iam a man who is sometimes interested in seeing real lesbian action between two girls

I loved this movie. It needs to be appreciated for what it is - a low budget indie film rather than asked to live up to standards it can't be compared to. It feels like a documentry. It'll take a few minutes to get into the flow of the story telling but when you do it sweeps you up in the characters lives. Just the right mix of storytelling and posing questions about 'big issues' that the lesbian community faces. Really satisfying, and a film festival classic.I loved this movie. interesting film, a must have to any collection
I bought this movie a few weeks ago because it appears on many LGBT best film lists. Not sure what the hipe is, most of the movie is in b/w and alot of artsy shots. The acting leaves alot ot be desired but definitely a film to talk about.
