    It's like a 15th club

    I have come to depend and trust my Garmin. It has saved me more strokes than I can count. Very accurate and the number of courses it holds is unbelievable. The only thing I wish I could turn off permanently is the Odometer. It uses too much battery power, like when I want to play 36 instead of just 18.

    Good product, horrible service response

    I train my own pointing dogs and bought this product so I could keep track of them when running. I've used this for several years now and have only had three issues. The first was with the antennas breaking off when the dogs went under fences. Easy fix -just replace the antenn and position it under the dog (slight loss of distance on reception. Garmin never responded to the service enquiry. Second was the clamp breaking. Garmin did get back to me on this problem and I was ablr to buy replacement clamps. Just recently the receiver stopped powering up (intermittent) or powered down on its own. I'm confident it's just a loose connection, but Garmin has not gotten back to me about this. This is a very good product but the service is very poor.

    Best thing ever made for those who hunt with dogs.

    After making the decision to have my own pack of hunting dogs, and after seeing groups that I currently hunt with have so much trouble finding their dogs after a run, I decided that the GPS tracking system was the only way to go. My dogs are 1st year puppies and havent caught the hang of running deer, they prefer to run the roads or play in the woods. But with the GPS tracking system I know exactly where they are and it only takes minutes to get close enough to pick them up, compared to an hour or so that my friends spend trying to pinpoint their dogs waving an antenna system around. So far, I have not found one negative thing of this product. This is an excellent system if you have hunting dogs. Highly recommended.

    best freind in the bush easy to use

    great unit once you up load the maps tracks the dogs very well also great for bush walking and stalking set a way point for the car or camp on the unit and it will take you to the way point you saved you can even save more then one way point (preaching trees rub trees bedding down spots wallows gullys) you name it this handy little unit can do it all so easy to use

    The Garmin Astro 220 is Great Time & Gas Saver

    I have Coon Hunted for over 36 Years Now and the Astro 220 is the best system I have ever used, It save so much time and Gas looking for your dog trying to get them back it is unreal plus it is a big help for safety as well you know before you start in to the wood what to expect , Creeks, Roads , House How far you are going to walk in and out, & and you know if you are going to get close to some one house or not so you can check with the owner before you start( just may keep you from getting shot or put in jail). you will know before you get to the dog that he is on the other side of the river, and you have just walked that 1/4 mile to him just to see him treed on the other side of the river, and you have to walk all the way back out and drive around and then walk back in from that side. ...
