    Nokia 6555 AT&T

    AT&T is aggressively pushing its 3G network, and nowhere is this more evident than in the Nokia 6555. Priced at just $49 with a rebate and two year contract(no contract over 200.00€), the 6555 is an attractive little clamshell that sports a decent feature set, including a 1.3-megapixel camera, AT&T Music,XM Radio, integrated IM clients, push-to-talk (PTT), and great stereo Bluetooth. The Nokia 6555 looks pretty nifty, if somewhat retro. The first thing you'll notice when the phone is closed is the silver racing stripe around the face and back battery panel. I appreciate the sporty look, but the stripe calls to mind an '87 Trans Am a bit too strongly. PTT is accessible from the 262,000-color, 128 x 160-pixel resolution external LCD, but that's about it.     Nokia 6555b Nice Phone

    Nice Phone overall. The screens are both clear and bright, the graphics are very clean. I wish there was a way to dim the screen brightness, to extend battery usage, but that's no biggie. What I really like is the texting functions ... very nice and fast predictive text, and straighforward sending options. Compared to other non-qwerty keypad arrangements, this one is 'tops' ... very intuitive with minimal keystrokes. there's a lot to be said about the other tools and such, like music and the web, but I use it just to text google directories, and don't use the mpgs on it much. I have though, and the 2gig micro SD card has plenty of room for pics, files, transfer docs, and music. Other tools I find helpful is the "world clock" and Converter. The calculator is context rich also. Not many ...

    It's a loud phone thats durable, but they dont lastlong

    I like that the ringer and volume and speakerphone are loud. I work around machines, thats why I chose this phone. I just bought my 3rd or 4th one, I forgot which. One refurb lasted 3 months and at best they last maybe a year. I never had battery issues and charged it every night. My calculators seem to randomly delete themselves. They can also give you a calculator with sin, cos, and tan buttons on it if you ask. The camera takes bad faraway pics and okay up close ones. When you click the button to take a pic, it makes a loud noise, so dont try to take a pic of an exam in class, lol. This takes a mini SD card. the usb plug is not a normal shaped small usb slot, so you have to buy a special nokia usb cord that is not cheap, you likely will not need to buy that though. I drop this phone ...

    Nokia 6555

    I got this phone as an upgrade, I was happy to get back into a flip phone. This phone has been pretty much what I expected, its a nokia, and since I have not gotten the phone wet it's still working Very well. I constantly use the bluetooth feature, I put in a 2gb MicroSD card, and I run a feature rich Theme, so my battery life is about 1.5 days, if I forget to charge it at night, then I can get away with a quick 20 minute charge in the morning, if the phone dies out, it will still (or at least try) to turn back on to set off the alarm, and the alarm does work when the phone is powered off, the speaker phone does crack a little if you turn it up beyond 7 or 8, I like the media player feature, altho the 3gp video is kind of a limited codec. the camera works nice for snapshots or pictures, ...

    Keep Your Charger Nearby

    Overall I like the Nokia 6555 well enough. It has many desirable modern features and is easy to use. The screen colors are vibrant and the exterior analog clock is really cool. However I am very dissapointed in the Nokia 6555's battery life. I had the battery replaced in the first phone I purchased, but it still did not hold a charge so I had the AT&T store give me a new one and I am still not satisfied with it's battery life. I purchased the unit for $99.95 with a $50.00 rebate, which I felt was a reasonable price. I just don't look forward to two years of keeping my mobile phone connected to a charger.
