Product Information

EA's long-running cat-and-mouse racing series returns with more police chases, a new scoring system, and seamless multiplayer action in Need for Speed Rivals. Gamers head to the open world of Redview County, where they can play as a lone racer looking to outsmart and outmaneuver the fuzz, or they can join a crew of cops and try to track down flamboyant speedsters. A variety of gadgets and abilities are available to each side, with racers using turbo boosts, electromagnetic pulses, and jammers, and the police calling in roadblocks and helicopter support.<br><br>The new all-or-nothing scoring system rewards racers with multipliers and quicker progression if they can remain on the lam for as long as possible before finding a hideout, but if the cops make a bust, they earn all the points. Players can choose from more than a dozen supremely powered supercars, including the BMW M3 GTS, the Ferrari Enzo, and the Hennessey Venom GT, and each vehicle can be upgraded with new paintjobs, decals, rims, license plates, and performance enhancements. The new All-Drive system is designed to offer a seamless transition between multiplayer action and solo adventures, letting gamers challenge friends to races at any time, without the need for lobbies.

    Fun and Fast Paced Arcade Style Racer. Cops vs Racers says it all!

    Need for Speed Rivals is a great addition to the NFS line of games. It includes fast paced hot pursuit style driving. Almost all of the game has something to do with pursuit based racing. There are a few time trials and races between other cars, but similar to the old Hot Pursuit games cops are everywhere. New Pursuit Tech allows racers and cops enhanced control over pursuits with items such as Shockwave, Roadblock, Helicopter, Shockram, Spikestrip, EMP, and much more. The cars are very nice, Enzo, McLaren, Bugatti, Pagani, and many more. Undercover cop cars can also be unlocked. This is still an arcade racer and is a very different driving experience from games such as Forza which are simulators. Overall, this is a very fun game but after time is does get a little repetitive. I ...

    Eh.

    Cool graphics and has a small taste of the original NFS Most Wanted. EA has lots of server issues though so beware. The game will almost always freeze when it starts searching for a game to join so you have to disconnect from the internet and join a game local style. It sucks, don’t know why EA hasn’t kept up on their games.

    Need for speed game

    My husband is a gamer he has an Xbox one, and twelve of his games was stolen. I have replaced every last one of them. I do appreciate the game being in the condition that it was in just like it was promised. I was very happy with my purchase. Thank you so much.
