À propos de ce produit

Product Information

The Lucifer Principle is a revolutionary work that explores the intricate relationships among genetics, human behavior, and culture to put forth the thesis that "evil" is a by-product of nature's strategies for creation and that it is woven into our most basic biological fabric. "An act of astonishing intellectual courage." -- Leon Uris; "Destined to be the Future Shock of our time." -- Spin; "A revolutionary vision of the relationship between psychology and history, The Lucifer Principle will have a profound impact on our concepts of human nature. It is astonishing that a book of such importance could be such a pleasure to read." -- Elizabeth F. Loftus, Professor of Psychology, University of Washington, and author of Memory and Eyewitness Testimony.

  • A MUST read Book

This book is timeless in that it uses a historical perspective on many topics. I found Bloom's writing very clear and concise, and most importantly the pace he kept throughout the book was perfect. I have a limited attention span for reading since(I'll start many books without finishing as the writer failed to keep my attention). Yet any essay throughout the book I could flip to~and jump right in. The ideas combine psychology/sociology/history and several other social sciences throughout; having all these fields on one platter to take in the juxtaposition in how each influences the other is a treat indeed. I strongly recommend you pick up a copy today, as this one would surely fill a void in your reading (there is nothing else quite like it I've come across).
