Product Information

The movie series may be over, but the saga lives on with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The storyline takes place between films Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with the Galactic Empire nearing the peak of its far-reaching power. You are none other than Darth Vader's secret apprentice, engaging in covert missions to defeat those with designs on dismantling the Imperial regime. The PlayStation 2 version has you exploring the Jedi Temple and participating in a series of trials, where you must defeat resurrected spirits of the Sith's deadliest Jedi. As in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions, the action is viewed from a third-person perspective with the apprentice holding his red lightsaber behind his back. The Force can be used as a tool or weapon to lift and throw objects as well as bodies.<br><br>The protagonist will travel to various worlds in his relentless search for the few remaining Jedi who escaped Order 66. Featured locales include a TIE Fighter construction facility, the Wookiee home of Kashyyyk, a junkyard-like realm known as Raxus Prime, and a fungus-infested planet called Felucia. Each features groups of enemies that must be eliminated in stylish fashion, with Force power combos earning players experience points to customize their character. Accompanying the lead character at various points is a prototype "holodroid" called Proxy as well as a blond Imperial pilot named Juno Eclipse. The Sith Lord's apprentice faces several deadly foes throughout his mission, including Maris Brood, a Zabrak warrior bent on revenge, and the primary target: grizzled General Rahm Kota, who learned the ways of the Force under the tutelage of Mace Windu and Yoda.

    The Force is strong in this one

    When i first saw the commerical for this game, i was like WOW. Finally be a Sith and have the Force powers do Fry anyone in your way! Now buying the game, i knew this apprentice of Darth Vader would only go so far. Ive seen the episodes NUMEROUS times. Set between episode 3 and episode 4, we are in control of a mercenary that does the bidding of Darth Vader. Through out the game i never knew Anakin could be so 2 faced! Kind of repetitive through some of the levels, but the ability to Fry ppl made up for it. I played it a second time hardly using my litesaber and just electrifying people. By the end of the game, you actually beat Vader, and i was like.. THIS cant be! And your so AMPED up, you think you can take on the emperor himself. Foolish. I almost felt sorry for the apprentices ...

    Star Wars: The Force Unleashed PS2 Pros / Cons

    Star Wars: The Force Unleashed! A Great title! All in all its a great game and even snks up to a good part of the starwars story line! Has a great story line with great acting and endepth character concepts but for the playstation 2 i feel like its lacking after playing it for the xbox 360 myself! With less graphics than the 360 the character detailing is at fault when it comes to the cut scenes not having as big of an impact on players as it did on me for the 360! Its still a good game an fun! with advanced player controls and force powers big explosions and killer moves and saber combat! your definately not making a bad choice if your purchasing this game regardeless the system! But after all the fun it still seems to short, the game starts out too easy and ends up being really hard ...

    Great Game! Good for it’s time compared to Jedi: Fallen Order.

    I remember when this game released years ago, this was such a fun game then and still is now! Graphics are really weak compared to the newest released game. Still its a great game for 2006!

    The Force Unleashed-name says it all!

    This game is totally amazing. You get to use powers only associated with the dark side, and then choose to remain a Sith or become a Jedi. Game could be a little longer, and the fact that you can't save progress with certain codes enabled is a major bummer. Otherwise, it's a great game with plenty of missions, incentives, mystery and intrigue that has made Star Wars a pop-culture phenomenon for decades.

    Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PlayStation 2, 2008)

    This game has a good story around it, the player action is good and there are challenging levels. It is easy to play and has a lot of powers that you have to use in order to advance to different levels. I am not very skillful when it comes to play video games but this game was fairly easy to play and I will recommended to buy it, not the best I have seen but not the worst. Good look in your gaming experience with this game and may the force be with you...!!!!!!!!
