Appears to work okay, but with some issues.
My only qualm is that I also purchased a solar charger for the Ring, but the charger does not seem to charge the battery. The device health displays that the Ring is not connected to a solar charger. I don't know if this is an issue with the Ring or the solar charger. I am working with the solar charging company to attempt to resolve it.

Good product, but ...
Installation instructions were good and easy to follow. Had difficulty connecting to the home wi-fi and so upgraded the router to a better one and this seemed to fix the problem. After a few days of use the battery stopped charging even though it was hardwired to the home door bell. After talking to the RIng support and resetting the unit, it seemed to fix the problem. A couple of weeks of use, it reported that the wi-fi signal was weak and soon after the battery level started dropping. Then a few days later, everything was OK and the battery was up to 100%. Hopefully nothing else will go wrong.Installation instructions were good and easy to follow. Get a RING 2 not a 2nd gen.
This is a great product and does everything you want it to do. Can be used wireless or hardwired to your existing door bell. HOWEVER, you should know to charge the battery you have to remove in from the house. The recharging micro USB is on the back of the unit. So, if you have it hardwired to your existing doorbell charging will be a hassle.

Great quality, setup madness
Unfortunately I can only give it a 3 star rating even though the quality of the unit is quite good and it works exactly how it's supposed to, but the setup process is perfectly unclear and in my case very frustrating. The real challenge for me (and I think for many others) is getting the video doorbell to connect to your existing wifi, get your account set up, manage your way through the myriad of options then finally get the thing working. I had almost given up when about 30 minutes of leaving it on the table it finally started connecting.Unfortunately I can only give it a 3 star rating even though the quality of the unit is quite good and it works exactly how it's supposed to, but the setup process is perfectly unclear and in my case very frustrating. The real challenge for me (and I think for many others) is getting the video doorbell to connect to your existing wifi, get your account set up, manage your way through the myriad of options then finally get the thing working.
