Product Information

Add some fizzy sparkle to your life and discover the delicious and refreshing world of homemade soft drinks. Drawing on centuries-old traditions from American general stores and pharmacy soda fountains, this fun and informative guide has recipes for perennial favorites like birch beer and ginger beer, as well as more adventurous concoctions like Molasses Switchel and Dandelion Champagne. Stephen Cresswell provides easy-to-follow directions that cover everything from extracting the earthy undertones of sassafras for an exciting root beer to whipping up a caffeine-charged Coffee Whizzer.

  • Homemade Root Beer, Soda, & Pop by Stephen Edward Cress

This is a wonderful book that includes past recipies like sassafrass to modern coffee recipies. It teaches you in step by step proceedure how to make soda at home for a lot less money then your going to spend on already made soda. You can regulate the sugar content and make it as healthy as your imagination can take you. You cant do that with store bought soda. It requires a little bit of equipment, but you'll make that back in savings from store bought soda. Really good activity the whole family can be involved in.

  • Homeade Root Beer & Soda Pop by Stephen Cresswell

I really like this book! The recipes are easy to follow and understand. The ingrediants that you need are easy to find in most any grocery store. I bought the book because a friend of mine has this book and I couldn't find it in any store, but ebay had it! I also bought it because I love Root Beer and Sodas of all kinds but I am allergic to carbonation and this book shows you how to make great tasting sodas without any carbonation. I highly recommend this book!

  • Excellent source for classic recipies.

This book is a clear concise introduction to making your own root beers, sodas and other refreshing drinks. Heavily geared towards older recipes, this book is a must have for anyone interested in branching out in the beverage department. One note of warning, making your own sodas is highly addictive!

  • Great book, just what I was looking for.

Great book, just what I was looking for. many recipes. Ideas I never thought of before. I've looked around and this was the best I found. would recommend to others looking to make refreshing all natural sodas.

  • wonderful informative product!

We boyfriend & I brew beer, & his son was very interested in the process. but we didn't want to encourage it because he is only 15. So this way he learns the same process but with soda. It is wonderful & he loves it!
