There Has Never Been So Much Bang for Each Buck Spent
Garth is the guy who brought pop country music to the masses in America and also in the outside world in a way no other singer has made before. The simplicity and the beauty of his songs are compelling to the most. Hard to resist. A reference. Period. The success of "The Ultimate Hits" is a proof that Garth, even when he's out of scene, never loses momentum. Every one of his previous studio and live albums are multi-million sales records, and even this one, which is just a compilation of his previous songs (with three new ones, in fact) follows the same multi-million sales track. Yes! You got it! Three songs made a lot of people buy again what they probably already had. New fans, like me, had a real grasp on what Garth is all about and I am looking for more. The ... It is great to see the best hits of Garth in a 2 CD collection; for some it will be all they want to hear, while for others it is just nice to have all the best hits you want to hear most right at your finger tips...perfect for that long trip, perfect for work, or perfect for just whatever. Add to this CD compilation, the three new songs and it gets even better. To hear "More Than a Memory" brings back the days of when Garth was full of power and at the top of the charts...it's his best work in a long time. Now, add to all this the bonus DVD with ALL the videos and you have an unbeatable package at any price. Just imagine getting all this for ... Garth Brooks Ultimate Hits w/2CD's &1 DVD
I am even more excited about this set now that I have received it, than I was when I first purchased it. I love Garth and have recently seen him in concert in Nashville, TN where he performed 9 concerts in 6 days and he donated all proceeds to the flood relief fund, and brought in at least $3.5 million in tourism revenue as per the Mayor's report at the final concert which is the one I attended. He is an amazing performer and sounds the same on stage as he does on his recordings. This collection is absolutely what it says, "The Ultimate Hits" and not only do you get the 2 CD's but you also get the DVD with Garth performing 33 of his ultimate hits. I haven't been this excited about anything (since I got tickets to his concert) and I would absolutely recommend ... I am even more excited about this set now that I have received it, than I was when I first purchased it. Garth Brooks CD
I like all of his songs from the begining and even now while he is in semi retirement. there is nothing that I don't dislike about the cd. I have all of his cds so that is why I decided to buy it and also to add to the GB collection. Garth is like one of those old friend you might of had when you were younger and once you actually meet him you will never forget him. like the saying goes once a friend always a friend for life we'll that is how I feel about him. And plus My son and I went to Kansas City Mo. 11-14-07 to see him in concert and it was once again one of his best ever proformance he has ever done, he has been my sons Idle ever since he was 3 and now he just turned 18. Thank You for letting me do this I greatly apprieciated. Retire Already !!
Garth either needs to retire like he said are get back to work. This i`m back i quit i`m back lost me as a fan a long time ago. Recycling the same old thing in box sets and various greatest hits is pretty pathetic. I wish Nashville would back classic artist on CMT as much time as they continue spending time keeping Garth`s image up to date. He is an amazing artist. But he seems to be more about breaking past record sell records. Hey Garth, the Eagles had 2 greatest hits and the rest were not recycled box sets. It will just be a manufactured award if you win that title. The fans never put you there without being manipulated. The music on this album is great. However they all can be found in your neighbor hood pawn shops that have tons of the orginal studio albums they were ripped from ... Garth either needs to retire like he said are get back to work.
