Not bad for th price.
I bought this camera because my mom had bought the L22 and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the camera for the price. However, I don't think this model (L20) is quite as good. I can tell alittle difference in the picture taking quality. I'm wishing i had spent the extra $30 and got the L20, but I don't think I return it, so i'm good with keeping it. I'm not real technical about settings and things, I just wanted a point and shoot that was small and easy to use. This one is. I will say that it has very little lag time between the time I take one picture and want to take the next. The camera recovers almost immediately. And the last camera I had (a Samsung) was really bad about that feature. Also, I bought the energizer extra long lasting batteries and i can get alot of ... Purchase this camera only if "new". When the camera is new, it is a great little camera for easy use. Great Nikon quality photographs. Sharp and clear photos! Fits into purse or pocket. Easy to use, even for children. Not bulky like other cameras. Light weight to use on travel. Good for basic business or travel shots. Good deal for the price. WATCH OUT FOR RE-SELLERS!! When the camera is used or refurbished, 1: the lens may stick open and not retract and then will not engage the battery and 2: the battery door flap may develop rust, hence making opening/keeping the battery door closed impossible. The battery door will either stick closed, so you can not change battery OR will stick open and you can not get the battery door to close.Purchase this camera only if "new". Love the Nikon Coolpix L20
Bought the Nikon Coolpix L20 last month. I wanted a good, small digital camera that my kids could use (age 7 and 4). I have a Nikon D40 and didn't want the kids to use it anymore. This camera is really for my 7 year old. It is a great size for his hands and easy for him to use. After I showed him how to change settings, he has not had any problems. The wrist strap is perfect for him and so far we have not had any problems. This camera is small enough to fit in a pocket and easily fits into my purse. My son is teaching my 4 year old how to use the camera. I am amazed at the quality of pictures they are producing. The anti-vibrate feature is really working for them! A great daily camera
I ended up taking a hard fall, felt a crunch, reached into my pocket and came back with camera parts. Needless to say, it was time to find a new camera. What drew me to this Nikon camera was the large display, 2 AA batteries instead of propriatary chargers, and an easy to understand interface. This doesn't disappoint. The display seems a bit washed out and grainy, but the pictures from the camera are tack sharp. The interface is easy to use, and laid out well. Would I buy this camera again, yes.
