À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Don Coscarelli's BUBBA HO-TEP finds Elvis Presley (Bruce Campbell) alive but not so well, living in a small Texas nursing home. Although he's preoccupied with his ailments and his memories, the elderly Elvis befriends another resident who thinks he's John F. Kennedy (Ossie Davis) when they both begin to suspect that their neighbors aren't dying of natural causes. Their investigation leads to the discovery of an evil mummy with a fondness for cowboy gear and an appetite for the souls of senior citizens. Armed with little more than a walker and a wheelchair, the King and JFK must take on this ancient evil.Based on a short story by Joe R. Lansdale, BUBBA HO-TEP mixes comedy, drama, and horror to create a remarkably quirky film. As the aged and ailing Elvis, Campbell gives an outstandingly funny and poignant performance, while Davis exudes intelligence and warmth as JFK. Although horror is a key element of the story, much of the movie focuses on the life of Elvis and his new friendship with the former president, leading to many oddly comical scenes and even a few genuinely touching moments. Of course, their embalmed foe and his creepy minions must be confronted, making this the first movie about Elvis and JFK to appeal to horror enthusiasts, or, conversely, the first horror movie to appeal to Elvis and JFK enthusiasts. Either way, it's a highly unconventional tale that no adventurous filmgoer should miss.

There is not a thing about this movie I dont like. I was never an Elvis Fan but I am a Fan of Bruce Campbell as Elvis. All I will say since I am not very good with words is that this movie has made My top 10 of all time list. If You are sensitive to foul & suggestive language then this is probably not for You. The story takes place in an East Texas nursing home where We have our 2 Hero Residents, a Man (Bruce Campbell) who may or may not be Elvis & another (ossie Davis) who may or may not be Jack Kennedy doing battle with a not so tuff mummy that wears a cowboy hat & boots & bears a frightening resemblance to Michael Jackson.

  • Worth Every Penny

As a VHS collector, this is a must own! Just.. ATTEMPT.. to wrap your head around the idea of Elvis Presley and a black JFK in a retirement home fighting an ancient Egyptian mummy. Does that not sound like the greatest plot ever?? Best way to watch it is on an old VCR. Arrived fast and safe!

  • Who do you think you are?

I liked Ossie Davis. He is excellent in all his movies and he does not have to be foul. The other actor I don,t know his name was foul mouth and just plain nasty. His part ruined the movie. The mummy was good. I bought because I thought it was going to be a good movie. The best thing in it was Ossie Davis and the mummy.

  • one of the best movies ive ever seen

this is funny weird and interesting at the same time i highly reccomend it to anyone who loves Bruce Campbell Movies or needs a good laugh or an interesting story.

If your'e into off the wall horror comedies this is for you. Bruce Campbell portrays a grumpy old Elvis Cuss whose out to save the souls of the residences of an old Texas rest home. With help from an black John F. Kennedy (Ozzie Newsome) the duo openings a can of whip ass on a soul sucking mummy. T.C.B. Baby enjoy.
