    awesome show!!

    I love Defiance Season one!!! I first saw it on Netflix, and had to buy my own copy I like it that much. now the reason I love it, and not the second season so much, is that season2 took a all most comepletely different direction. ok, yes it was hinted at heavily in the first season, especially the last episode, that it would take that direction, but I was still disappointed. the first season was basicly a cool futuristic version of the old west Sheriff trying to tame his town from local shinanigans and riff raff. whereas like most other shows in the second season it became a big ol' "we must save the Planet from DOOM" story arc. now don't get me wrong season2 was good but just not great for me like the first season was.

    Brilliant sceince fiction drama

    This science fiction series has it all! Alien culture, battles, romance, crime, and multi-dimensional characters who all have their good and bad aspects. If you like FIREFLY, ALIEN NATION, and FALLING SKIES, this will fit nicely into your permanent collection. There are a few semi-explicit sex scenes (necessary to the plot) and a lot of shooting and stabbing (also necessary in context). There are at least 4 races of aliens, all from the same planet, all with different cultures, who look different from each other. I found this confusing in the pilot until I realized how realistic --- and brilliant --- it is. After all, humans have many different races and cultures and we all live on Earth! With apologies to STAR TREK, why would we expect other planets to be homogenous?

    So love defiance

    Defiance is a great story. The first season was just great. You love the characters or hate them. I wouldn't want to live in that world.

    Defiance is a great story!

    This is a very underrated series. It has layers so you have to keep up so you don't get lost in the different areas of the story. Not one for the fake unrealistic drama stories of some series. This story should have lasted longer. It only lasted 3 years. The possibilities were endless. The actors are deeply engaged and performed well. I wish more stories are as good as this. I'm glad I bought the series. I have already watched the entire series twice. I'll be watchimg it again in the future.

    Defiance TV series

    This shoe really captures you and locks you in. At least it did me and my boyfriend. A really good show about the future and how other ummm species of humans try living in same place. Most are alien kind but look like us. I recommend this if you like shows about aliens or the future. Very good and sad it ended. Wish it had more seasons. Hated to see this show come to an end.
