Sounds Like You'd Expect.
The album sounds just like you would expect the artists who recorded it should sound. The different songs sound like their composers from the group. The Harrison songs sound like he wrote it, etc. It is a new album with a vintage sound from these artists. It is really enjoyable.

Traveling Wilbury's Volume 1
This is a great mix of songs by a super-group formed in the late '80's early '90's with members like Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, with the late George Harrison and Roy Orbinson filling out the roster as well. If you are a fan of any of these artists other work you need to check this out. Unfortunately, this CD is out of print but thanks to Ebay, you can find anything. As of this writing though there are plans to release a box set of all 3 volumes that the band produced. It's due out sometime in the summer of 2007. Here's a challenge- write a review on an album that you imagine everybody with even half-a-brain would find to be an absolute essential(the album, not the review). It's been said over and over and over that this was a once in a life-time alignment of the heavens, and that's a fact. If you are of a certain age, or a certain level of musical appreciation, just a quick listen to any of the tracks on this one and it dawns on you why these gents have been so loved and listened to over the years... it's because each man stands on his own as a force behind music, and when they stood together, and played together, the Wilburys became a force of Nature. And that force was having a rocking good time! Extended listening only makes it better. God rest the ones who've gone ... Traveling Wilburys are still Traveling
The traveling Wilburys were unique, they were five top name artist that got together by chance, and changed the face of the music world. They recorded their first album in 1988 and their second one in 1990 (both are out of print everywhere except England) and you have to watch out for the Russin CD Maxx Bootleg........because they are out there in huge numbers. There is only ONE legal CD that is sold that is still in production, and you must order it from a record store in England or buy the Used original 1988-90 ones sold on e-bay, and again you have to watch out and ask questions. I have bought what looks like the real 1988 CD, only to have it arrive and find out it was a CD-R copy in an inkjet printed front cover. Over all if you are a Wilburys fan....and want a new sealed cd ....plan ... Great CD..Great Sounds!
Ordered this CD to replace another Traveling Wilburys CD which was worn out because I played it so much. Great sounds. Tom, George, and Roy RIP. Your voices will live on!
