    "Mama's Big Ones," by Cass Elliott

    I love the CD! Being a fan of Mama Cass Elliott's original group, "The Mamas and the Papas," I always thought and knew that she was the real vocal star of that group! I owned this CD in an LP format years ago but now had nothing to play it on; I was thrilled to find it in a brand-new CD format on ebay and bought it right away! It contains twelve singles that Cass Elliott took to the top of the charts as solo performances ,even though other group members performed backup on a couple of the song choices. Of course, "Mama's Big Ones" was a slight takeoff on the size of this incredible vocalist, added with the fact that these were singles she recorded and took to the top on her own; very few people know just how much of a single recording star she became, acting ...

    Mama Cass Memories

    I bought the Mama Cass CD for my older sister as a gift. In the early 70's my parents bought a camper to go with their truck. One summer my mother loaded my older sister, myself and my best friend into the camper and took off to Missouri to visit family. We always took the trip in our car before the camper days. We had 8 track tapes back then, big and bulky but we loved them just the same, state of the art at the time. We would make dinner while mother drove and clean up the dishes and sing, sing sing to Mama Cass while she rested afterward. So there you have it. Summer, cozy camper, singing with my sister and best friend while tooling down the open road, our extended and beloved family waiting for us in Missouri.

    Mama Cass you are missed.

    Wow what a great singer this lady was. It is a shame she was lost so early in life. We can at least be thankful that she left her fantasic talent for us to enjoy forever. Some of the songs on that CD takes me back to a time I was dating my wife. It was a wonderful time then and after 39 years of being married to her, these songs still bring back the scent of our youth. There are no other time machines like music.

    The Beautiful Cass Elliot

    This is a great album, with a great variety of songs. It really showcases Cass Elliot's beauty and talent. Cass brought so very much to us through her life and music. If only she'd had a bit more time ... imagine how many more beautiful, classic songs we'd have now, to remember her by!! This one is a MUST, for any fan of Cass's.

    Mama's big Ones by cass elliot

    All the songs on this album are showcases for Cass' magnificent voice. but when I heard "Ain't Nobody Else Like You", I was moved to tears. I almost chose it for the mother-son music at my son's wedding because altho it's a love song, it also addresses the simple message of how important a person can be in your life. you will not be disappointed with this purchase. P.S. I did not choose it for the wedding because I knew I would end up with mascara down my cheeks!
