Product Information

Since 2000, THQ and Namco have been producing similarly titled motorcycle racing games based on the MotoGrandPrix series, a seasonal racing series for motorcycles similar to Formula 1 or NASCAR. THQ's MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology 3 looks to put some distance between itself and the competition by offering a slew of new features, as well as a more distinguishable name. Most notable of the new features is the "Extreme" mode of play. Inspired by "TT-style" street racing, this mode includes 16 new city and suburban tracks based on real race locations from all over the world. Players may choose to tear tarmac down the Day-Glo-lit streets of Japan, or spray dirt in the competition's face while racing down the country back roads of Donington, UK. Along with the new race locations comes a selection of new bikes. Modeled after real-world motorcycles, these latest additions range in power from 600cc "sprinters" to 1200cc "superbikes." Other modes of play include "Quick Race," "Grand Prix," "Time Trial," "Training," and "Multiplayer," which supports split-screen action for up to four players. Other new features include advancements made to online gameplay that allow for up to 16 online players in the same race. Three new online modes have been added -- "Embedded," "Spectator," and "Commentator." Embedded play is designed to allow players to slip seamlessly from single-player to online action, by simply being connected to Xbox Live or via broadband on the PC. Embedded gameplay also features a seeding system designed to create a more competitive online environment by discouraging experienced players from racing against beginners. Spectator mode allows players to watch as the race unfolds instead of sitting idly by in the lobby, while Commentator mode allows the host of an online session to choose a spectating player to comment on the racing action.

Probably the best MotoGP game I've ever played
This game is VERY difficult. It is a strict simulation that is as hard to control as any modern racing simulation from any discipline. If you master it however you are rewarded with some of the most intense and rewarding racing action ever presented in a video game. Eventually you will feel and respond to all of the subtle movements of the bike, and it will give you the sensation that you are really putting on a show for the fans. This is an outstanding game, and a staple in any OG Xbox library.This game is VERY difficult. It is a strict simulation that is as hard to control as any modern racing simulation from any discipline. If you master it however you are rewarded with some of the most intense and rewarding racing action ever presented in a video game. MotoGP 3 is one of the greatest racing titles
This is a great game that anyone, who enjoys racing, has to purchase. It has the best graphics of any Xbox title out there. The screen begins to blur at high speeds, giving you a great sense of speed. Sound is spectacular as you are engulfed in the whining of the engines. Custom soundtracks are a wonderful option. Many people are dismissing this game because they don't understand how to brake and corner, which are part of the core of the gameplay. Braking and cornering in this game is difficult because it is realistic. Braking and cornering in any other racing game is easier because the CPU assists you in cornering and braking. MotoGP 3 is not an arcade racer! This isn't a game you can just pick up and play, you have to practice for this game to be enjoyable. Once you have an understanding ... Moto GP 3 for Xbox
Moto Gp has long been the leading GP game for consels. Moto GP 3 is the best and latest version for the standard Xbox platform and has fantastic graphics. I am a motorcycle rider and wanted a game I could play during the colder seasons when riding isnt much of an option. The game has all the great riders to compete against and the tracks are fantastic. The controls are a little difficult to get the hang of at first, and you must keep a true line on the track or you will crash. Moto GP Junkie - not Gaming Addict
Not being a gamer I couldn't say whether this is good compared to other games. I am a track rider and this game offers some very realistic riding. You can load up the front, ride deep into the corner and then appex early. You can high-side it too. It is impossible, I've tried, to low-side the bike. So from this aspect it really won't teach you how to corner faster. Nonetheless, the game is still a blast and even at 40 years old I can beat my kids on!Not being a gamer I couldn't say whether this is good compared to other games. My son had been wanting this game for a long time...it was no longer available in stores (even as used), so we found it brand new on ebay...he couldn't be happier! He says it is the most realistic of all the motorcycle games he has seen.
