Bio that instantly captures the ups and downs of a pro
I purchased this book as I am an avid fan of Donny and the Osmonds as a group,and family.This is great reading from truly a very well respected professional entertainer! From the very first page Donny captured my imagination and the urge to keep reading to see what was next.The contents covers every step of his life on and off stage,the ups and downs,the best times and the not so good times of his career,his private,family endurance before,during,and after the 70s. I knew that this book would contain nothing but the truth and the real inside story of a legend of pop.There is nothing I dislike about this book!I have now bought the updated issue!!!These books are now part of my collection of music of this Great Family Group!I purchased this book as I am an avid fan of Donny and the Osmonds as a group,and family.This is great reading from truly a very well respected professional entertainer! Quite Enjoyable!
I grew up as an Osmond fan. I was getting a tad nostalgic and decided I wanted to hear what had been going on in teen idol Donny's life after I had "lost touch" in the late seventies. I had heard rumors of trying to wash himself of the goody-goody image, reinventing himself as a Broadway star, and a bad bout with stage fright. What an amazing, well-written, enlightening book! I didn't expect to examine my own life among it's pages. It is not meant to be a self-help it is not meant to be a tell-all, and it's not bitter. This book is just about a man whom many of us grew up with; a man whose destiny was carved for him before he had even lost his baby teeth. I would've enjoyed this book whether I had known who the Osmonds were or not. I have, in fact, recommended to others who were ... I grew up as an Osmond fan. Inspiring, honest, heartwarming memories of Donny's life
Inspiring, funny, heartwarming, honest memories of growing up as part of a large family of entertainers. Despite long hours of practice, lack of a normal childhood, lots of media attention, pressure to succeed, self-doubt and fears, Donny comes out on top. His values as a husband, a father, and above all, as a human being are to be admired. He has made much of his life.

Life is just what you make it
I have always admired Donny Osmond for the strength he draws from his faith. It shows you can be a religious person even if you are famous. It's a wonderful testimony that he shares how his faith in God has carried him through life in good times and bad. I decided to buy it because I wanted to more about his family.
