The fighting game series' first true sequel in three console generations, Street Fighter IV re-creates the classic characters, settings, and time-tested 2D fighting mechanics, at resolutions and frame rates that make use of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 potential. Favorite characters and backdrops, once depicted in 16-bit pixels, appear as colorful, hand-drawn illustrations brought to life in full, fluid 3D. The game introduces a slew of new special attacks, but the series' basic moves are at the heart of the six-button control scheme. A challenging new Focus Attack system can allow a low-health fighter to absorb an attack and then unleash a powerful counterattack, strong enough to grab an unexpected victory with a last-moment turnaround.<br><br>Street Fighter IV follows Street Fighter II in the series narrative, taking place before the events of Street Fighter III. Over two dozen characters are available for play, including core heroes and villains from Street Fighter II such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-li, and M. Bison. There are also series newcomers, such as Gouken, the trainer of Ryu and Ken, C. Viper, a government agent with moves as tight as her uniform, and the weapons master Seth, who can use the special moves of other characters. Home versions of Street Fighter IV also feature characters not in the arcade version of the game, including Fie Long, Dan, Gen, and Cammy, who won the most fan votes in an online poll, prior to the game's U.S. release.

    Takes me back to childhood

    I love my game..... I haven't played this since I was a teenager, it brings back some good memories!

    Street Fighter 4!

    This game is a classic. I remember when it came out. It was great to see the world of SF in a new light. SF4 is amazing and super fun to play. Game is full of content and it one of the last capcom games that actually let you unlock characters like the good days. This is still a fantastic game even though capcom released 3 other version a must have if you a fan of fighting games and SF4.

    Street Fighter Lives On

    This is a really fun game, I had to get used to all the graphics because I had never seen any street fighter characters with such detail every muscle and every hit look incredible. It was a little hard to get used to the speed of the game or lack there of, and you also have to get used to the new stuff like focuse attacks and what not however overall the game is solid and would highly recommend buying it, on ebay of course for the best price especially since super street fighter 4 is coming out soon

    Another Classic game for a Legendary Franchise!

    Who hasn't heard of the renowned Street Fighter franchise? If you haven't than you need to do some homework. Street Fighter IV has come out with all the hype in hand and it has lived up to my and many others expectations for this great fighting game. Today's fighting games are mostly done in a 3d environment, which sometimes can be a hinder to the simplicity of the game. This game is simple, kick the but out of your opponent on the other side of the screen fighting left to right or vice versa. A fighting game doesn't need to have all these new features to be fun, SFIV is a 2d game which graphic wise is brought to compete in today's HD market. SFIV is one of those CAN'T MISS games which will likely become a classic down the road. The only one con I think the game has is that the characters ...

    It's missing tournament mode. Other than that it's good

    I like the great 3D graphics and the new combat system is cool. The game is missing tournament mode. The only on-line mode is quick or create. I liked tournament mode on Street Fighter II HD Remix. On the cause of that one feature missing means Street Fighter VI unlike Final Fantasy XIII in it's genre of RPG is not perfect. Had there been a tournament mode the game would have gotten higher approval after those picky about buying after renting may reconsider. If your a die hard Street Fighter fan or your into the SNK King of Fighters series this is a must buy.
