Nickelodeon's hugely popular cartoon series SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS--which was created by former marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg--chronicles the wacky adventures of an overly enthusiastic sea sponge and his oceanic pals in the underwater town of Bikini Bottom. Living in a pineapple home with his meowing, catlike pet snail, Gary, the fry-cook sponge (inimitably voiced by Tom Kenny) happily flips Krabby Patties at a fast food restaurant owned by the moneygrubbing Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown)--that is, when he's not engaging in "nautical nonsense" with his dimwitted starfish friend, Patrick (Bill Fagerbakke), or annoying his tentacled and perennially grouchy neighbor and coworker, Squidward (Rodger Bumpass). SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS employs a vibrantly colorful animation style that shows the distinct influence of REN & STIMPY. It has become a veritable pop-culture phenomenon that appeals to children and adults alike with its wholesome yet slyly subversive brand of goofy humor (as well as an impossibly catchy theme song). GREAT but wish they didn't split season to scam more $$
Even though it's only HALF a season, still has some of the more recent great classic SB episodes. Included are some of my very favorites: Shell of a man where Mr. Krabs molts his shell and spongebob wears it to Krabs Navy reunion Lost Mattress, love it cause Squidward keeps trying to make SB and patrick BAIT for the guardworm but it keeps backfiring. SKILL CRANE! one of my top picks Hav U Seen this Snail? double episode is OK but not a big fave Dunces and DRAGONS! Instead of buying the DVD mix with this episode, this one alone makes it worth the price. MUST SEE for any SB fan. Squidbob Tentaclepants - SB and Squidward morphed together with Sandy's teleport machine!! ANOTHER all-time TOP epsiode KRUSTY TOWERS - Also an all-time GREAT EPISODE. Sorry.. Season 4 is absolutely horrible in comparison
I grew up watching Spongebob Squarepants, and it's unfortunate it has taken a downward spiral starting with Season 4. Sure, the show is still much better than most of the other crap you'll find on television today targeted towards kids (with the exception of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends), but otherwise it just doesn't meet the standards that the previous 3 seasons set. The reason Season 4 is so horrible is probably because the expectations are just too high after 3 terrific seasons. It does have its moments though, even if they are very, very brief. As I understand it, Stephen Hillenburg (creator) 'jumped ship' and isn't part of the show anymore. That could explain how quickly the show took a turn for the worst. Spongebob Squarepants - Season 4
I decided to buy this Spongebob Squarepants - Season 4, Vol. 1 movie because it is less expensive than my local discount stores. In addition to that, it was convenient to purchase and had many episodes all in one. Instead of having to buy a bunch of seperate episodes, my child now has an entire season readily available on two discs. I am pleased with my purchase and will be purchasing additional seasons in the future.I decided to buy this Spongebob Squarepants - Season 4, Vol. 1 movie because it is less expensive than my local discount stores. In addition to that, it was convenient to purchase and had many episodes all in one. Instead of having to buy a bunch of seperate episodes, my child now has an entire season readily available on two discs. I am pleased with my purchase and will be purchasing additional seasons in the future.

AWESOME DVD AND BUY
My grandson just loves spongebob so much... he is only 2 years old... He is so glued to it that I can get my cleaning done with no major interruptions... I highly recommend this dvd because it has no commercials and keeps them entertained for hours...lol
