Good game to pass time with. =0)
I enjoyed the game for the most part, especially in single player mode more so than the 2 player mode. For some reason, it felt a bit more tedious with 2 players. It really depends on who you're playing with. The graphics are decent/nice, but nothing ground breaking. Everything seems like it's glowing a bit. Fuzzy almost, like a dream. This effect seems to blur out any jagged edges, so I guess that's a good thing. The music and sound effects are typical to Mortal Kombat titles and that's a good thing, especially if your an MK fan like me. Very eerie, etc. Reminds me of the music found in Mortal Kombat 2. You get to pick Liu Kang, Kung Lao and with special codes, you can also be either Scorpion or Sub Zero (which is a big plus) to beat the game! I bought this mainly ... Stays true to the Mortal Kombat spirit
This is a 3D action fighting game from Mortal Kombat. Gone is the one on one fighting style but you are now emersed in a 3D environment similar to that of Double Dragon and Streets of Rage.... but better, cooler and you get to use Mortal Kombat signature moves! The Good: * Painstaking recreation of fighting areas * Seemless fighting with complex moves combined into a button push or two * Yes there are fatalities * Use experience to unlock move list * Faithful Mortal Kombat prior exprience is NOT needed * Fantastick two player co-op mode * Hours upon hours of fun unlocking hidden characters and features (like Mortal Kombat II) The Bad: * Once you are playing in single mode or co-op mode, you can't change from one to the other. * Lots of ... This is a 3D action fighting game from Mortal Kombat. Best Mortal Kombat Spin-Off
By far, the best Mortal Kombat spin-off that they ever put out on store shelves. While it may be a retelling of the events of Mortal Kombat II (that is also included in this package), the game itself still holds up pretty well. A 3D style beat-em-up game that features great controls, great story, and not to mention the classic fatalities that made the franchise what it is today. And did I forget to mention that the whole game can be with a friend? Granted, it makes the game a little more challenging, but I think having a friend with you will probably make your experience with this game even more entertaining.By far, the best Mortal Kombat spin-off that they ever put out on store shelves. Enjoyable Action Adventure In the Mortal Kombat Universe
Anyone who is a fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise will genuinely enjoy this game. There is plenty of lore and adventure to keep players entertained. Game mechanics are good, my only qualm is locking onto opponents can be tricky when there are multiple foes on-screen. There are some points in the game where the camera angles are a bit awkward (making some platforming sections messy), but it's nothing major. Although you can play through in single-player mode, I recommend grabbing a co-op buddy for the ride, it can get difficult! All in all it's worth a buy, now stop reading this and go save Earthrealm!Anyone who is a fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise will genuinely enjoy this game.
