Product Information

Four weary humans work together in an apocalyptic world overrun by grotesque zombies, collectively known as the "infected," in this sequel to 2008's third-person shooter, Left 4 Dead. In addition to the new protagonists and five new campaigns, the game offers more enemy types to battle and adds a slew of weapons to improve your chance of survival. Joining the hunters, tanks, smokers, and boomers from the first game are jockeys, chargers, and spitters. Jockeys are short creatures that leap on the backs of characters and steer them toward dangers. Chargers are hulking brutes that run quickly toward characters and use their powerful arms to slam victims to the ground. Spitters spew out projectile acid that can also form deadly pools on the ground. <br><br>Each campaign area, ranging from a Coney Island-style amusement park to a Louisiana bayou, also contains distinct enemies to face. The "Dark Carnival" campaign, for example, features zombies wearing clown makeup, while "Swamp Fever" features creatures known as mudmen. New weapons and tools include a katana, baseball bat, grenade launcher, hand axe, Desert Eagle, military sniper rifle, chainsaw, MK17 assault rifle, and a defibrillator to revive fallen foes. In addition to the co-op campaigns and both the survival and versus modes from the original, Left 4 Dead 2 introduces a new multiplayer mode entitled "scavenge." As a survivor, your goal is to locate and collect 16 gas cans on each map before time expires, all while user-controlled members of the infected try to thwart your progress.

    In a time of oversaturated zombie culture. The Left 4 Dead series still holds it own

    I don't know the ins and outs of the video game industry that well. I can say from a casual gamer's perspective, Valve is titan of video game development. The few and far between games they do release seem to be pet projects. There's not a bad game on their roster (Half Life, Portal, Team Fortress, Dota, etc). Left 4 Dead 2 is no different. Left 4 Dead 2 ups the gore, weapons, graphics, and multiplayer features like a great sequel should. And where it slightly dials down the horror atmosphere of the first installment, it cranks the fun up to 11.

    Zombies!!!!!!!!!!

    Left 4 dead is another installment to the left 4 dead series. anyone whos played left 4 dead knows whats to expect. hordes of zombies coming at you from all directions, but this time valve has given the characters a little upgrade. now players have melee weapons which solves the problem of getting bogged down by zombies crowing you. now a simple smash from your axe will swat them like flies. besides the melee, new special zombies, weapons, ammo upgrades, and after getting the downloadable content, a new variation to the game. Valve is mixing up the rules, the last variation (called mutation)was headhunter, which makes the zombies impervious to damage except for head shots. this game alone is amazing, i for 1 love the ability to kill an endless supply of zombies, but with the new mutations ...

    My boys liked, but my moo-moo didn't.

    Definitely an entertaining game. However, it is really bloody and if the player is a youngun, make sure they realize that this game is MAKE BELIEVE and that the only similiar thing on earth they might see is participating in an underwear Blue Light Special at K-mart. You have your eyes on that right purty floral moo-moo, then you see Darla Jean&apos;s eyes flicking between you and the moo-moo. She wants it only because she&apos;s getting you back for that little dippin&apos; snuff fiasco a couple of years back. Yep, take away the blood, add the hands full of yanked out hair and it almost looks like that Left 4 Dead 2 gameamathing bloody game or one of my family&apos;s get togethers minus Uncle Cletus relieving himself off the side porch.

    Left for dead 2!!!

    Just ordered the last copy for this cheap GameStop should take up Ebay’s listing prices they are charging 30$ for this game and I can get it for 13 but overall it’s a amazing game I got rid of it and now that I think back I should of never god rid of it because it was so much fun to play

    Pretty godly game and godly shipper too

    Lemme tell y'all something, my package was delayed by a couple days and this person emailed me apologizing! They are amazing. And so is this game. Thank you for giving me the chance to play it again. It is as awesome as I remember, and a god-send since I can't run it on PC. Sadly the free baseball bat expired in 2009 but I'm grateful it was still included
