À propos de ce produit

Product Information

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for Wii (release date 2010 from publisher Ubisoft) follows the successful trail laid down by the popular video game No More Heroes for Wii. No More Heroes 2 is the sequel to No More Heroes, and picks up where the original game left off. The game was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Wii U video game systems, with versions for Xbox and Playstation 3 (PS3). You will play through a high-octane hack-and-slash adventure with No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for Wii. The player once again assumes the role of the main character, Travis Touchdown, who is the top assassin in the United Assassins Association. In the original No More Heroes game, Travis was on a mission to become the top assassin, and at the end he walked away from the association. Now, three years after Travis became the top assassin, he is back in Santa Destroy. In No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Travis Touchdown must fight an assassin named Skelter Helter, who is seeking revenge on Travis for the death of his brother, Helter Skelter, prior to the first installment in the video game series. After this initial battle, Travis learns that he is now ranked 51st, so he must fight his way back to the top, knowing Skelter Helter and his co-conspirators will continue to seek their revenge. Soon after, Travis and his friend Bishop find themselves under attack from Jasper Batt, Jr., the CEO of Pizza Bat and first-ranked assassin. Bishop is killed, and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle follows the path of Travis’s revenge on his friend. He will have to battle against outlandish opponents to move up the assassin ranks as he freely explores the far-out caricatured city of Santa Destroy. Many new characters inspired by anime emerge in this next installment of the No More Heroes story, as well as some returning characters from the original version, like Sylvia Christel. The combat in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is similar to that of No More Heroes, with returning actions like wrestling moves and deathblows. The overworld from the first No More Heroes Nintendo Wii game is gone, and to enter ranked battles Travis no longer has to pay an entry fee. This allows the player to move through the game more quickly. Travis can play 8-bit style minigames (in genres like puzzle, racing, and action) to gain money and become stronger. No More Heroes 2 also has a new feature called "Deathmatch" mode, which allows the player to replay the bosses after finishing the game. The gameplay largely revolves around fighting with a combination of wrestling moves and weapons. The main weapons Travis uses are a set of four beam katanas, each with its own special properties. Use the Wii Remote motion controls to wield one of these energy-beam kantana swords, such as the Peony, which is a large and heavy sword with a wide range, or the Rose Nasty, which consists of two beam katanas that Travis can wield dually. The stylized action and violence of these video games comes from the unique mind of creator Suda51, and due to its violent and gory nature, this Nintendo Wii game is rated M for mature.

  • The Otaku is back!

I was highly anticipating this games after playing the first one. I was definitely not disappointed when I received it in the mail. You play again as Travis Touchdown but this time, instead of just looking to be #1, you're out for revenge. You have to fight your way back to #1 again, but from #51 this time. This sounds long and tedious, but because of certain events in the game, you only end up fighting a small fraction of the # of people you'd think. Mini-games are mostly retro this time around. While this may put off some players, for the ones who grew up in the 8-bit era, it's nice to revel in nostalgia for just a bit. The graphics have improved this time around. Things move more fluidly like they should. It's still cell shaded, though, so don't expect a game that rivals a PS3 ...

  • Violent Fun

The Game makes excellent use of the Wii controls. It's constant use of 4 letter words and violence allows it to earn its Mature rating honestly. I'm a little disappointed with the story and I've found it somewhat difficult but ultimately the game is fun and makes great use of the Wii controls. You're playing an assassin who uses a light saber like sword. This makes for some epic moments like stellar decapitations, good ol'time body splittings and lots of blood splattering. I bought the game based on the gamespot review and I'm glad I did.

  • Awesome additve game that has a fun gameplay with lots of blood too.

The gameplay of NMH 2 Desperate Struggle is really fun and addicting too. The graphics are great, controls are good, length is decent, and new game + is awesome. Storyline is corny, but funny. There are a couple of glitches with the clothing you buy, and the last side job too, but overall I give the game a 4/5.

  • An anime game that exceeded my expectations.

Story 3/10 or 9/10 In No More Heroes 2 you play an assassin named Travis Touchdown. The premise? Get up in the ranks that are set by an association to get revenge on your friend's murder. Sounds pretty cool right? Well, it is...some times. This game does NOT take itself seriously. This is both good and bad however. If you're expected a game that has a serious undertone and makes sense, you wont be playing this game for its story. However, what this game does manage to do is create cool/bloody/comedic cut scenes at all the bosses. Never has a game really made me laugh as much as this game has. There's a lot of random stuff that will enjoy that the story does. The only real complaint is that it doesn't offer and ending to the first game which left in us in a cliffhanger...and ...

  • action, humor, sexual content... what else could u ask?

I liked this game because the character is the kind of guy who... well... hahahahaha better don't talk about it. This game has intense emotions, a little crude humor, not recommended for children. This is the kind of game that a good parent won't buy to his beloved son... unless the son buy's itself ... nice game, recommended for teens.-
