À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Sega's exclusive rights to the Olympic Games continues with Beijing 2008, which includes 38 events held in official Chinese venues. Players will compete in such locales as the Beijing National Stadium and the National Aquatics Centre as they engage in track-and-field, aquatics, gymnastics, equestrian, weightlifting, and other indoor and outdoor competitions for both men and women. Motion-captured animation and multiple camera angles offer a broadcast-style presentation.

Online support with voice chat is included for international players to represent their country and attempt to shatter world records. The main aspect of play involves following the 15-day Olympic schedule with a custom team. After each qualifying event, players can develop their team's statistics and attributes to improve their medal chances in the finals. UK developer Eurocom's previous experience in the genre was with the multi-platform release of Athens 2004.

Great shipping costs and speed, seller even threw in an aftermarket case w/ label for the game without saying anything. Much appreciated, thank you!

  • All events, good graphics, So-So game play

Summer Olypics in China. Well, I was impressed that all sporting events were covered in the game and it had the ability to play two players locally or over Xbox network. The graphics are quite good, (water was realistic, and body movement was fairly good on most events) The sound was ok, but did not have any option to change music. Many of the actual events can take quite a bit of practice and luck to figure out even after watching it demo'd. Overall game play I would rate as "ok" to "so-so" depending in the event being played. On the down side: The menu navigation is a little akward, load times between events was longer than it should be, and the constant "bother" of the staging screens (basic setup step for each event, slowing you down before you can take action) are waaaaay ...

  • Good from far but FAR FROM GOOD

As an avid Track & Field fan and former athlete, I was looking forward to the release o this game for some time, only to be greatly disappointed for several reasons: 1) The controls are virtually impossible to use! It doesn't take any intellectual effort to push A * B as fast as possible... yet, even when you try to, it is never fast enough. 2) The gameplay is unrealistic. Even if you press the appropriate keys to move as fast as possible, you are still lightyears behind the computer simulated characters. I think the fastest 100m I ran on the game was about a 14.00 sec. Now tell me, which Olympian even runs above 11 seconds on a bad race? NONE!!! 3) You cannot create yor own character. 4) You have to be a member of XBOX live just to access the world records. In other words, if you ...

  • I would highly recommend as a group game

I wanted to get a game where everyone started on even ground,,, there was only going to be how fast your fingers flew to decide the winner. This is also great for up to 4 people so everyone gets to play eventually and not just sit and watch. Good game overall....

  • Olympic Game could be easier.

Game is rough on your hands. Not easy to play. Fun if you like a little competition. It is hard for young children to play, but teenagers should love it.

  • very good

I bought the game during the olympics. It took a while to get here, but once it finally arrived I have really enjoyed it. Beijing 2008 is a very challenging Xbox 360 game on many different levels. The game makes you use the controller as a rapid fire punch button device in some of the sporting events; which can be frustrating, but once you get the hang of it, it's fun.
