À propos de ce produit

Product Information

The music of the enigmatic Sigur Rós has captured the imagination of fans from around the world, and they never back down from pushing the limits of their sounds. Now they've taken that same attitude with their first concert film, which is more of a journey through their on-stage production than a simple collection of live footage. It's also a visual documentation of one of the most ambitious tours in music history, which took the band to some of the most remote regions of their homeland and beyond.

  • Sigur Ros' concert film 'Heima' awesome!

I have become an avid fan of the Icelandic alternative band Sigur Ros. They are truly as unique and fascinating as their homeland, Iceland, which, really, most people don't know a lot about. Their Heima film basically takes a documentary-music style as they travel around Iceland to give free music concerts in bergs, towns, grassy knolls, etc to give back to the public that has given them notoreity. What is different about this film, too, is that it is almost a spiritual experience to watch it, or, at least it is just very different and unique from many American bands that want to make it big or have made it big. Sigur Ros bandmembers talk about space (personal space, soul space) and the attempt to communicate without words. I have never seen a concert film like this before.

  • The essence of Sigur Ros

Great DVD, it is a documentary of Sigur Ros doing some little concerts in it´s native land of Iceland, great sound, great quality. includes 2 dvd's the first of them is the documentary and the second is just the songs. One thing though, in the box it says it has subtitles in spanish, portuguese, german etc, and it only has subtitles in english and in japanese. If you like Sigur Ros this dvd captures all of their essence.

  • Pure Beauty, both audio and visual beauty!

From start to finish this movie is like a dream, the kind of dream you dont want to wake up from. It takes you on an ambient tour of Iceland, its beautiful landscapes as well as a look into the culture they live in. They play free shows for the Icelandic people in spaces that mean something to each member. Each show is absolutely breathtaking, in some cases you feel as if you are a child listening to music for the first time and truly feeling emotion from the sound Sigur Ros so perfectly orchestrates. This is a perfect DVD in every sense. :)

  • sigur ros - heima review

Excellent is a great word to describe this DVD, actually it is two DVDs, both of them are awesome. It's a great music, great nature scenes and great combination of other things that you can't usually see in every movie or music concert. It has a little bit of everything but it doesn't feel like a uncompact mixture. I recommend you this DVD as much as i can. If you want to make someone or just yourself happy then go after it. *****

  • Cannot miss!

The DVD has been out of production for awhile so imagine my utter elation when I found out the store not only carried it, but had BRAND NEW copies as well! the DVD is amazing, everything you would export from the elusive, fascinating, awe-inspiring sigur ros. This is a MUST HAVE for any fan of their music and aesthetic!
