Set in the science fiction realms of the film franchise crossover, Aliens vs. Predator is a high-definition action-adventure composed of tense, violent, kill-or-be-killed scenarios. Following the design concept of earlier AvP shooters, the game pits three different factions against one another. Players take the roles of deadly xenomorph aliens, stealthy predators, and heavily armed space marines, to do battle with enemies from the other two factions. Evolved to protect the brood, the alien xenomorphs are unmatched in melee combat, and excel at surprise attacks with their overpowering strength. Born of a species of hunters, the predator is a master of well-timed assaults and agile attacks. Physically weak but at a technological advantage, the human marines use heavy firepower to take down enemies from a distance. In many of the game's levels, warriors from all three factions must fight against one another in the same battles, at the same time.<br><br>Players will have to fight hard to survive, but it pays to fight smart, as well. In some situations, characters can manipulate the environment, or accomplish other puzzle-solving feats, in order to put their enemies at a disadvantage. Single players take the roles of each species in turn, as they progress through the game's three campaigns. Multiplayer configurations are also available to Internet-connected gamers, offering the chance to play against other human-controlled warriors, in deathmatch and team-based competitions. Sega's Aliens vs. Predator was developed by Rebellion, whose previous work with the series includes Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem for PSP, the 1999 home computer game Aliens Versus Predator, and 1994's well received Alien vs. Predator for Atari Jaguar. In creating the game's three-pronged storyline, designers took special inspiration from the original films and from the Dark Horse comics series.

About the game
In my opinion, this was a good offer that I had to pay for the game. My only problem is how short the game is in single player in the aliens mode, I’m not sure about the other campaigns though. I’m also unaware if the multiplayer is dead. If you don’t mind multiplayer then I would recommend this for you if you’re a aliens and predator fan.

Good game a must for fans of the Aliens/Predator movies
The game gives you the choice of being one of three characters, the alien, the predator, or the marine. All have their own unique challenges but some are better than others. If I were to rate them in order it would be the predator first then the alien and finally the marine. As the predator you are basically indestructable and capable of laying waste to whatever lies in front of you with a variety of weapons. The controls are fairly easy to pick up and getting around is no problem. The alien is fairly easy to figure out, but its ability to walk on walls and the ceiling can be frustrating at times with controlling its movements. The marine would be better if it wasn't so vulnerable to attack and if the controls were a little easier to use. Overall the game is pretty good and as a fan of the ... Surprisingly Good Game
After reading the reviews for Alien: Colonial Marines...I was skeptical about buying this game. This game is awesome! I love playing as the Predator and Xenomorph, one of the best features. The Marine missions are okay, but I prefer playing as the creatures. The only flaw with this game, I wish the game was LONGER. I haven't played Hard mode which probably makes the game take longer, but on Easy mode you get through the whole mission story pretty fast. I know there is some DLC maps for this game, but I don't want to pay $6.99 just to get multiplayer mode. Need something different to play?
Why Purchase?: I purchased the game simply because I am a casual gamer. Bored with the games currently, this game was just to pass some time. Needed something simple but fun to play. Like/Dislike: What stood out was the 3 campagins; campagins are enjoyable and the multiplayer adds a nice touch to the game. The controls are easy to learn(May vary in multiplayer)and have a unique play style both online and offline. Note too many first person shooters have a blocking system to protect yourself in battle with close ranged enemies. ' The features 3 campaigns(Can switch campaigns at any time to see how the stories cross). The Campaigns a nice variation with simple controls. Although as of 2013 gamers still play the multiplayer(very small community),but individuals that have purchased the game will have to settle for quick matches and hope for the best. Multiplayer is fun but better when played with friends. Overall: The game is okay, this type of game will either appeal to fans or casual gamers that just need somthing to play. The game overall has fun moments. Unfortunately finding other players in game for the multiplayer may be tricky(As of 2013).

Good mostly. For fans of Series.
There are few things more satisfying than getting a trophy kill as a Predator or an Alien. The graphics are pretty good, the gameplay is ok, not good though. The story is short, and to be honest, I couldn't care less about it. The characters suck. I really don't have sympathy for them. As an Alien, the campaign was the most bare-boned. Go here, kill here, Go there... Not much going on. As a Predator, at least there is a reason given as to why they are there and found those parts to be very interesting. As a marine, I didn't feel weak at any time. You have unlimited flares, ammo isn't scarce, and all weapons have secondary capabilities that are really useful against your foes. The predator jump mechanics work well enough, unfortunately it has limited range and it only works on certain surfaces. Maps are recycled throughout so expect environment boredom. Music is generic. I felt especially annoyed by this because why is there scary tense music when I am the Alien. I am fear, I shouldn't fear anything. Why is the music trying to make me afraid? Same with Predator, the music was mismatched. Throughout the game, I felt like Rebellion was under a really tight budget. All the generic soldiers, have the same voice actor. They say the same damn thing, "Don't relax just yet, Marines." The AI sucks. There are 2 maps for survivor, nothing really to come back to. DLC I assume sucks, multiplayer is available but no one plays so it's a waste of game. Each level has a point system, so this is a good incentive to keep playing but that's just about it. With so much cons, Why just a 3 and not lower? Well, I'm a fan of the series and this is much better than the movies. Most of these are just gripes I have and the game is really enjoyable, just don't expect GOTY, or anything groundbreaking.
