À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Rune Factory: Frontier is a character-driven, farm-based life simulation game, similar to its stylistic forebear Harvest Moon, but takes place in a fantasy land of magic and monsters, similar to a traditional console role-playing game. Players set out to tame a wilderness by clearing the land, working the fields, and growing crops. The player's settlement encourages other people to come live nearby, and the community to grows large and strong. Beneath the ground, however, it's a different scene. Players can explore dungeons, fight and capture monsters, and recover quest items before returning to the happy community above ground.

The first Rune Factory game to be created for a console system, Frontier is a sequel of sorts to the DS original, and features a return of the lead character, Raguna. The hero will need to find a bride, choosing from more than a dozen worthy bachelorettes to woo along a dating-simulation path of the gameplay. Farming is a larger part of play than in earlier Rune Factory games, too. In such ways, Frontier is more similar to Marvelous Entertainment's earlier Harvest Moon games, previously published in North America by Natsume. However, officially no longer bearing the Harvest Moon title, Rune Factory: Frontier is brought to the U.S. by Japanese import specialist Xseed games.

  • Enchanting + so much to do!

If you like Harvest Moon you will probably love this game! I had been playing HM:ToT. I hated how fast time passed there. Started looking into getting another game like it.. somehow came across this one. The village is so sweet and beautifully designed. The characters are all intriguing and unique. It's not too hard to get money in your 1st few weeks.. just sell grass and weeds! The ruinesn dungens.. are SO AMAZING. It really is like Harvest Moon + so so much more. There are many differemt monsters to fight. Or charm and turn inyo pets. The upgrades tl your home are neat. The fact you upgrade ur own tools is very fun. You won't find yourself getting bored often w this title. There's always something that needs done! Drawbacks? The only real bothersome point in this game is... managing the ...

  • Rune Factory Frontier - Way Better than Harvest Moon!

I had been a long-time fan of the Harvest Moon series ever since the Super Nintendo days. Over the past few years, it seems that the newer Harvest Moon games had grown stale - a redoing of the same formula without many new features. I had played the original Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon for Nintendo DS, but it didn't have a great affect on me. I decided to try Rune Factory Frontier. I figured it would be a decent game bringing some new challenges to the old Harvest Moon formula. After playing an hour, I knew I was hooked. The old Harvest Moon charm that I had become disappointingly used to was totally revamped. This was much more than a Harvest Moon. Perhaps my favorite new feature is the forging. In past Harvest Moon games, the player would mine for ore to take to a blacksmith ...

  • Harvest Moon + RPG Action = Rune Factory

As a HUGE fan of both RPG games and a Simulation video games, I must say that this is a bullseye for my tastes. Harvest Moon fans will get a taste of some RPG action while RPG fans will get a healthy sample of a farming simulation (a la Harvest Moon). +++ POSITIVES +++ + BEAUTIFUL GRAPHICS - The cartoonish characters of Harvest Moon are replaced with anime-style characters. The level of detail is incredible from the backgrounds to the menu screens. Graphics are important to me, and I must say that I'm VERY impressed with amount of work that went into ever last pixel on my TV. There are also several animation scenes when meeting woman (and during the title) that remind me a lot of Tales of Symphonia sequences. Absolutely stunning! + LOTS TO DO - This is the understatement of the ...

  • Decent farming / adventuring game

This game is primarily a Harvest Moon spin-off, but also has some Suikoden-like qualities to it and a healthy portion of crafting. It's a waste of time to explain the Harvest Moon aspect; there's really nothing new here on that front. The other aspects are more interesting. There are a lot of characters in this game, and it takes some work to add them all to the village. As you talk to people and complete sections of the game, more characters will arrive, which gives you access to new items and areas. The game is very open in this sense. You can unlock new characters and get new items at different times and in almost any order depending on how you play. Crafting is a pretty major part of the game. You can collect items that can be used for cooking, smithing, gardening, and creating ...

  • Rune Factory Rant

I ended up buying this game because a best friend had it, and I borrowed it for a while, and then eventually she couldn't get me off of it, I ended up buying one for my own playing pleasure. I have to admit at first you get hooked, but when you first start out you aren't able to do much since your health dies pretty quick. I love the art, Cinnamon, Candy, and Eunice are my absolute fav characters they are so kawaii! I love the gameplay, the feel of it is definitely Harvest Moon orientated, but they add on dungeons and monster fighting to make it fun. I think this idea was a great one, but whoever decided that they should only give us a measly amount of "hours" in game to do everything needs to be shot. Time should stop in dungeons like it does in houses and whatnot. I am not able to talk ...
