Expected 5 packs of 5 at this price. Could have gotten 5 packs of 5 for less $ from another vendor but shipping was longer so I paid a higher price with this vendor and received only 1 pack! Watch out here! Prices far too high. Fooled me, not happy- Vendor didn’t reply, so went neutral instead of negative. Never again, though-

It is a quality Weller product, and it is good to have a spare.
Yes, I know that I can make tips of my own, but these tips have more weight in the tip, so the heat they generate has more mass to it and everybody knows that you must transfer heat fast so as to not put so much heat into the surrounding area, and only heat the connection fast. These do that, twisted copper wire will not. Twisted copper wire has a very limited appeal, but if that's all you need, then stick with it. Weller soldering tip quality
I have two Weller 8200 soldering guns and have noticed that the current Weller replacement soldering tips seem to burn out much faster than in the past, with one or more tips lasting less than a week with moderate use. This forces me to buy larger quantities of replacement tips so I don't run out. The only explanation I can think of is that they must be using a cheaper grade of copper in the replacement tips, since I haven't changed my use or procedures, and I wondered if others have had the same problem with them burning out faster than in the past. New tip gives new life to an old soldering gun !
My soldering gun (see photo) is older than eBay. This soldering tip gives it new life. It's a Weller product for a Weller gun. Fits like a glove, just bend the ends to install.

I like your tips. BUT I just bought a professional grade Weller soldering iron. It came with one tip of this style. So is this tip supposed to last 5 years? I paid $50 and get one tip? What gives with Weller. Have you ever bought one of their hobby irons. Weller invented the word CHEAP. Larry
