Mmm, Is Jason Taking a Nap?
So this is the 5th - do not expect greatness. Actually, do not expect greatness out of any of the installments. Still, I love bad/good horror movies from the 80's and Jason has a soft spot in my heart. Too bad he is not the killer in this one. Movie starts with Tommy - Jason's latest killer on #4 - at a halfway house for disturbed teens. First thing I noticed - and you are meant to notice - is the array of possible weapons around the place. Now, my first thought was not "hey! Jason could use that!" but more like "ummm, I do not think I would be comfortable with all these knives, axes, pitchforks etc easily available to disturbed teens". But that's just me. The formula stands - kids die, girls get naked, lots of running, lots of slashing. Good, dirty 80's horror fun! You know if you ... So this is the 5th - do not expect greatness. Friday the 13th Part V A New Beginning
Was new as described. I always enjoy Jason (or whoever the killer is) slashing his/her way through the promiscuous teens and adults around camp. I strongly recommend keeping the lights on when you camp out on Friday the 13th.
