  • Quick, effective, and easy on the joints

    I bought this to try out an alternative to a kick-boxing type dvd I have, hich is sometimes too strenuous for my 49-year-old (unfit) body! People may scoff at the idea of a 10 minute workout, but I was amazed at how I felt after doing just one 10 minute segment. I believe the lady on the DVD really knows her stuff. One great thing about it is you can do just one workout a day if that's all the time you have, or add as many as you want depending on your goals. I don't really like to work out, but I figure if I can do just one of these workouts day, it's benefitting me and is a start in the right direction. Most of the moves/poses in the workouts aren't difficult for the average person, but there are a couple of them that are challenging, but should be attainable with practice. I think ...

  • great workout

    I have never been in to Pilates, but tried out this video to see how effective Pilates can be. I was surprised after the first workout and felt my abs stronger after the first days. I usually do all five of the segments to have a complete workout. I regularly go to the gym, but after trying out this video I felt it was the best thing to compliment my daily workout. I now go to the gym in the morning and leave this video for a good night time stretch. Lara explains the moves very simply with a nice voice. The video is easy to follow and can be done in your living room in front of the TV. Some of the exercises are challenging on the first day, but after a few days of working out they become less difficult. You can really feel them working on your entire body.   • Just What I needed

    I really like this DVD. The best feature is that you can program any or all of the segemnts to play in any order. You can customize the workout to fit your goals and schedule. The some of the moves are very challenging. I wouldn't suggest this as your first pilates experience. I'm coming back from having my 3rd baby so I'm not strong enough for all the moves, but I'm experienced with pilates so I already know how to modify the moves and will work up to the more advanced variations. She doesn't demonstrate beginners variations at all in the DVD. My only criticism is that the routine moves more quickly that I'd like to get the full benefit of pilates, but it is designed to be fast. I plan to buy the 10 Minute Solution Yoga video as well.   • Rapid Results-Code for Really Freaking Hard

    I am way out of shape. I knew this when I bought the DVD. For someone who is in better shape, or more athletic, this tape would be a good start-to-finish sort of workout. For those like me, it's really hard, but that's a good thing. Since it's set up in 10-minute blocks, you can choose to just do one set at a time, or two if you're feeling motivated, and then you can collapse and die (or, at least, that's what I do). I do feel like my flexibility and strength is increasing, but I am also very glad that I had some amount of Pilates and Yoga experience first. This is a wonderful tape for someone looking to add variety to an existing workout routine or increase the difficulty from what they're currently doing, and as I said, being able to select one ten-minute section at a time is wonderful ...

  • These routines are great!

    Wow...these 10 minute routine DVD's are so great. I tried one on Netflex and purchased a few. You can do 10 min or 50 min. the routines are effective and just right. Not too easy. Not to hard. And the trainers personality are perfect also. They are wonderful with instruction and easy to hear day after day. All the trainers in each routine I've tried are wonderful. They really found a great group. I have been a Tamilee and Kathy Smith only but not these groups of workouts have me hooked. Highly recommemnd this one and the whole group.
