Product Information

The 2009 edition of World Wrestling Entertainment's reigning interactive entertainment title has players entering the sold-out arenas with a partner. More than before, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 is about teamwork -- tag-teamwork, to be precise. Two players can work together toward a Wrestlemania victory in an expanded co-op campaign. Working together, a good team can build momentum and become stronger as it progresses, gaining powerful moves. The game allows for team tactics, such as matching strengths and weaknesses and budgeting stamina, and players can perform the classic babyface beat-down turnaround: a hot tag to a raw and rested teammate who ready to smack both unready opponents down to the canvas. The 2009 edition's "Create-a-Finisher" feature allows players to create not only the look and attributes of their custom WWE superstars, but their finishing moves as well.

    For the love of an eight year old

    We purchased this game for our sons 8th birthday. So far since May 24th, he has played everyday either alone or with his friend from next door. He loves this game, and for someone that loves to watch wrestling on T.V. this seems to be a great way for him to act out the action that he sees. The moves seem to mimic those that are used on WWE and you can create your own characters. There is some blood and the moves are little on the violent side. Like when your character chooses to pick up a chair and use it on your opponent. I'm not sure I would recommend this for someone that already had violent tendancies. But the game is nonetheless entertaining.

    Easiest wrestling controls

    It is real easy to control your wrestler in this game. I don't like that you can't put your created wrestler through the story mode like some of the past editions. But the wrestlers that you can put through Story mode is fairly interesting, not as much back stage interaction as past editions though. Sound track is good and graphics are good though.

    A great purchase

    When I say I love this game, it’s an understatement. I’ve played this when I was a kid and when I put it in my PS2 the memories just came rushing back!
