Product Information

From the summit of a craggy slope, plunge hundreds of feet downward in excess of 60 miles per hour, atop nothing more than a lightweight frame and a pair of knobby tires. Following the apocalyptic car combat of Twisted Metal Black and the B-movie brawling of War of the Monsters, Incog's third full release for the PS2 is the console's first downhill mountain bike racing game. This extreme sports title features big trick opportunities, professional riders, brand-name equipment, and an eclectic soundtrack of licensed music.<br><br>In what might be described as a combination of cycling and skiing, players race mountain bikes to the bottom of great cliffs, choosing the best line, avoiding obstacles, and gaining speed whenever possible. Downhill Domination features 27 free-roaming tracks in three different racing styles: Mountain Cross, Technical Downhill, and Freeride. As one of five real-life riders or nine fictional characters, players vie for personal bests, corporate sponsorships, and the ultimate "Downhill Domination Championship."

    Old but gold

    There was nothing like this game at the time of it's release back in 2004, Mountain biking downhill with a pretty much open course, with the first to reach the bottom of the mountain wins? I was sold. The graphics of course look dated now but they still hold up, it plays well and is easy to pick up and play. It's very much like Tony Hawk Pro Skater, in that you don't need to know everything about the sport to get hooked. With the PS2 having many great action sports games, this is up there with the best!

    Great game for mountain bike lovers!

    I purchased this for my husband for Christmas. I'd been searching for a game for my cycling addict husband. The game is lots of fun. The game graphics are very great! You can upgrade your bike (after you've earned some money). The downside to the game - you have to unlock everything. Can't someone make a game that doesn't require you to unlock every feature! Some features you can unlock by purchasing them. One cool feature is more than two people can play the game at a time (with the PS2 add on). Bottom line - lots of fun for all!
