À propos de ce produit

Product Information

X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse is a side-scrolling action game that is based on Marvel's popular franchise. The game is populated with characters from the X-Men comics and early animated series, including Cyclops, Wolverine, and Beast. A team of mutants is sent by Charles Xavier to liberate mutants being held captive at a Genosha island complex. Each of the five playable characters have their own unique abilities and skills, as well as individual objectives to complete at the complex, and players must finish each characters' levels before they can proceed onto the next leg of the journey. With balanced difficulty and a focus on combat over platforming, this game stands out from the other X-Men titles and offers impressive visuals to fans of the franchise.

  • Capcom Perfection

A tad on the hard side, but the game is really well-done. Nice prequel to X-Men: Children of the Atom on Saturn/PlayStation/MS-DOS. The animation is nice and fluid, and the X-Men look normal (unlike Konami and Acclaim using two-decade old costumes for their X-Men in their games) and, for the guys, Psylocke, who was a hot item at the time. Also, during its release, this gave X-Men some normalcy, as Marvel went stupid and did all kind of lame things in the comics that nobody cares about anymore. (The X-Men comics really suck now. It's all talky and no action.) Here, I get to fight the levels out, and, also, this game molds nicely with the following other games: X-Men 1 & 2 on Genesis and Game Gear, X-Men in the arcade by Konami, X-Men/Spider-Man, Wolverine and Wolverine: AR, and ...

  • A fine X-Men game

This is a very very good X-Men game. It is a side scroller in which you take control of Psylocke, Cyclops, Wolvie, Beast and Gambit to overtake Apocalypse and Magneto. The graphics are very very good and won't be an eyesore, and the controls are very tight and responsive. The only real fault the game has is poor balance. Some stages are super easy and some are beyond hard. If you are a fan of side scrollers and/or the X-Men then this game is worth a try.

  • Capcom makes a unique,top-notch X Men game

This X Men game is a combination of various genres, or as I like to call it, a side-scrolling fightemup. There is some platforming, some comboing like in a beatemup, and you're required to input certain buttons combinations for moves like a fighter. The sprites are big, the animations are smooth, and this is a good spin-off of Capcom's Marvel 2D fighters. You can choose from 5 X-Men at the start, each with their own moveset and strengths, and each with their own initial stage tailored to their abilities. Once you finish the initial stages, you can choose which character to use for the remaining stages, and certain characters fit better than others. Overall, the action is fast, the stage designs are varied, and the game gives the player is good but fair challenge. This game ...

  • Best X-Men Game You Can Buy Pre-2000

I grew up playing this game as a kid, and man it was awesome. Easily my favorite X-Men game pre-X-Men Legends era. Capcom makes awesome games, and this is no exception. I couldn't beat it when I was a kid, but I will now!
