À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Race your opponents to the finish line while controlling a kart-style vehicle on the exciting and treacherous roads of cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Barcelona while armed with Power-ups to keep your opponents in check. Released in 2010 by Activision, Blur features no less than 20 real-life sports cars and provides a developing storyline. In this exciting video game for PlayStation 3, you can progress through numerous challenges, gaining both fans and rivals as you win more races. Build up your skills in the single-player version of the game or make some real-life rivals among other players in Blur's multiplayer feature. Designed by the developers of the popular Dreamcast console's Metropolis Street Racer racing game, Bizarre Creations, Blur supports up to 20 players and is suitable for playing on a single console via four-player split-screen, so the entire family can put their skills to the test.Blur was originally released in the North American and European markets in late May 2010. The title blends an arcade-style race between realistic cars with a fantastical power-up roster. You will encounter many characters and licensed real-life cars in this video game, including the Dodge Viper, Lotus Exige, and the Ford Transit van fitted with an F1 engine. Each vehicle is fully modeled with specific traits, including Speed, Drift, Acceleration, Grip, and Stability. Acceleration dictates how quickly the car can gain speed while Speed determines the car's top speed. Drift determines how well the car can handle turning corners, Grip determines how well the car can maintain traction with terrain, and Stability determines how well the car can handle collisions and impacts. Every car in the game is also designed to show the impact of various forms of damage sustained during your extreme race. The car race tracks are also based on real-life urban environments, including the river canals of Los Angeles and various areas of London. As you race, stunt, and Power-up through your high-speed races, you will garner points that help you to buy more cars, repair your vehicle, and gain fans and supporters. You'll also come across specific challenges during gameplay for an extra points boost. Each challenge will lead you to face a boss; when you defeat that boss, you'll gain access to specific modifications that give your vehicle more racing power. This PS3 game is an excellent choice for any kart-racing fan's collection of PS3 titles. It is a great addition to any PlayStation 3 game library, packed full of excitement and interesting techniques and graphics. You can drive all over the Blur courses with regular PS3 controllers, but the gameplay of this racing title is further accentuated by using steering wheel accessories and other driving peripherals created for extra excitement in PS3 racing games. Blur is also unique in its retained damage graphics; damage incurred in one round from collisions and attacks leave visible blemishes and scars throughout a race. This PlayStation 3 racing game provides realism and fantastic racing action in one exciting package.

  • Give it a go.

I was suprised at how much content there is on this game. There are multiple types of single player and multi player game modes, as well as 55 cars to unlock in both modes. The graphics are pretty good for a non gran turismo racing game. The controls are simplified for a more "Kart" style approach, with attacks being launched forward or backwards with ease. There is no shifting in this game, which might turn some people off. Like the name of this game suggests, you will feel the speed at which you are traveling instead of feeling like you are plodding along like other recent racing games. The downsides to this game are the sometimes poor multiplayer servers and needing hosts. Just like older FPS games if the host leaves, you are booted back to the lobby or title ...

  • Awesome!

This is a great racing game if you like games like MarioKart or the Twisted Metal series, but in a much more realistic and mature way. It's definitely weapons-based racing, but the weapons aren't as damaging to your position like in MarioKart where you can lose first place just cause of one red shell or someone zooming by you with a star. Almost all the weapons can be countered in some way, so you can play defensively or offensively depending on your position. Presentation is top notch, online mode has a decent amount of depth and there are tons of cars to unlock. A small problem with the online mode is that you can't choose what level of players you are racing against, so you might be just starting your online experience and racing with people who have achieved higher ...

  • Playstatin 3 Blur

Everything about the racing aspect of the game is sound. Trucks and SUVs are good on dirt track and the street cars are good on pavement. There is a timing aspect of the game that is very important to master when trying to accumulate fans, and without fans you cant unlock cars. The online part of the game is great when playing with people in the lower levels but when you go up against say a dodge viper, you really have to hit the right weapons and time your attacks. If someone knows there way around the track and learns where the nitros are this cant mean trouble for the guy in second trying to throw everything but the kitchen sink at him. The mods you unllock are still a mystery to me but im sure in time i will figure it all out. I just beat the boss on the first level and unlocked the 4 ...

  • Blur - Review (PS3)

I picked this game over split second because I'm more interested in the arcade gameplay compared to the sim type racing. If you were a fan of any of the Twisted Metal games, you'll enjoy this. Blur is similar to that but it also incorporates racing. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is new and fresh. I only have two complaints about this game. First, it's almost impossible to get a good drift. If you try to drift, the gameplay mechanics just slow you down completely and you'll end up losing precious time...or maybe I'm just a bad drifter? lol. Secondly, this game does NOT work online, at least on my PS3. It won't connect to the Blur servers. I had this same issue with the demo for a few days. I haven't played the full game online yet, although ...

  • Battle racing at its Finest.......

If you love racing, this game is for you. But, its not just racing, its powder slapping, in your face, racing with power-ups. So not only can you spank your competition, you can blow them off the track. The game play is similar to Wipeout, but the controls of Blur is more like Granturismo/Need4Speed. Not the clunky floating spaceship feel, but a real physics driving. The power-ups are awesome, and the mini-challenges within the racing, makes it more difficult. Great sound track and unbelievable graphhics. A must own game for your collection.
