Mojang's massively popular sandbox game brings its mix of digging, exploration, and construction to the PS3 in the aptly named Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition. As always, players can customize and control the default character (lovingly known as Steve) and head into randomly generated worlds made up of cubes representing various elements and materials, such as iron, sand, and coal. The worlds operate on realistic day/night cycles and feature varied terrain and environments, and as gamers explore they come across a variety of creatures and non-player characters known as mobs.<br><br>There are two modes in Minecraft, both of which can be played alone or with friends in split-screen multiplayer action. Survival mode is an open-ended adventure in which players are encouraged to gather natural resources, build shelter, and gradually acquire or craft more powerful and effective weapons and armor. Daytime mobs like cows, chickens, and sheep can be killed for food and materials, while nighttime mobs like giant spiders, zombies, and skeletons will attack players on sight. Other mobs include the iconic Creepers, which sneak up on players and explode, or the creepily silhouette-like Enderman, which can teleport and grab blocks, but are benign unless provoked.<br><br>There is no definitive endpoint in Survival mode, but gamers may eventually find themselves visiting the Nether, a hell-like alternate dimension full of unique resources, or the End, a dimension that contains only the Ender Dragon, a boss whose death triggers the game's credits. Variants of Survival mode include a peaceful mode, which removes all hostile creatures, and the hardcore mode, which deletes the entire world if players die. The second way to play Minecraft is Creative mode, which immediately grants access to the vast majority of elements and items in the game, lets gamers fly around the map freely, and encourages them to design anything they can think of, from single-room homes to entire cities recreated in minute detail.

    Great game at a good price

    The mind craft game I bought was for my 12 year old son and it made him very happy,he says the game has great graphics,he loves it and is very pleased with it,so I'm very happy for him.I'm also very happy because I bought the game at a very good price and it got to my hands at the right time just when I needed. so I do recommend this store for any game need you may have in the future;I look forward to do business with them again.

    Mining for Fun

    My eight year old grandson has been addicted to Minecraft for more than three years. He never seems to tire of it and I appreciate the way it stimulates his imagination and creativity. The game is loaded on his iPad, but his preference is this Playstation 3 version. Being able to play on a large screen and with full size controllers really enhances his experience.

    Grandkids love everything Minecraft so when this game arrived they immediately began playing it. The game arrived in great condition, in its case, with no scratches or defects, and works perfectly. The game arrived quickly, as promised when purchased, and the price was very good.     Best purchase ever

    Alright at first I was a dummy cause the first time I played it on Xbox it hade everything already, but when I put the game in it was garbage wanna know why UPDATE IT I was so Mad for 2 days but now I'm enjoying every moment with my sister's building maze's having a warzone ya know it was worth the $19.99 I don't remember the price it might have been $19.89 anyway guaranteed delivery 😎

    Delivered fast. Son loves it, although I am not sure why...

    Seems I spent a lifetime as a kid trying to find games with better graphics. My son loves this game and the graphics are terrible. He loves it, I bought it.
