EA Sports drives its NASCAR license up to speed with the 2004 launch of this new title. Though created under the direction of the company's acclaimed Tiburon studios, which also steered the design of games in EA's earlier NASCAR Thunder series, Chase for the Cup represents a distinct turn toward customization and realistic NASCAR rivalry. Other new features include RPG-style character development and the chance to race in four additional NASCAR series: Busch, Craftsman Truck, Featherlite Modified, and Nextel Cup.<br><br>The game's "Fight to the Top" mode is designed to let players live the life of an up-and-coming NASCAR driver or owner. By mastering basic driving skills, competing in a variety of racing events, and building fan support, custom-created characters earn a place on the NASCAR circuit. The game's "Chase for the Cup" feature comprises ten separate races, and is billed as the first video game representation of the new NASCAR point system. It can be played on its own, or as part of the main "Fight to the Top" campaign.<br><br>Role-playing elements are more prominent in Chase for the Cup than in past NASCAR games from the publisher. Drivers will develop rivalries that influence behavior, and the game's "Intimidator Button" lets the player's character try to bully other drivers into making mistakes. More intense grudges may carry over, even when the race is done, but characters can settle scores away from the arenas, with back-street races in muscle cars like the Dodge Viper and Ford GT. To settle any real-life racing rivalries, up to four gamers can compete in the game's multiplayer modes.

Top rate nascar game
This was the best to date for Nascar games. I really like the career mode on this game. You start out with the ultra light cards, then hope somebody picks you up in the truck, bush, or nextell series. As you win money you can build you own team in any of the four series. Hire drivers to drive when you cant and race your a$$ off for sponsors. Build your card, truck, or ultra light, lots of designs to work with. You will get rated as hero or villian as you advance in career mode. This game has single races and stuff. And online play which is good, but the career mode is were its at here. Life like damage, yellow flags, and grudges taken out against you on the track. The adavanced mode is only for the harden driver. This nascar game will bench any other driver game you have for a long time. ... This was the best to date for Nascar games. I really like the career mode on this game. Probably the best nascar game i ever played but still a little dull...The game has alot that u can do but it is very repedative which makes for a very low replayability but this is the games only downfall it is great the 1st time u play through a season in each mode.

Great Game For The NASCAR Fan!
Great game, better than the NASCAR 2007 for Playstation 2. It is NOT compatable with XBOX 360 - but it's still a great game if you have the original XBOX!!

What I liked about this was the good deal I got on the game. The game was worth all I payed for. I bought this game because I am sort of getting into Nascar Racing.
