Highly recommended!! EXCELLENT!
I teach 4th grade Texas History and always have a difficult time fitting in the Texas Revolution because of time constraints so close to the writing TAKS test. This book allows me to teach the Revolution during my Language Arts time by using it as a novel study. THE KIDS LOVE IT. They can't wait for me to read more! Sherry Garland does a fantasic job of relating the events of the Revolution to children on their level. This is a must read for any teacher of the Texas Revolution, because it covers each event from Gonzales to San Jacinto. Thank you Sherry Garland!!! Line in the Sand
This book was written by someone who did her research and it shows. The backstory, the description of the town, the second-hand talk of what happened, the aftermath of the fall of the Alamo, background, even the inclusion of Joe.... It would be easy to mistake this book as non-fiction.

As a Texas Native I have great interest in Texas History. This is a diary of an individual and the daily life during the revolution of Texas and Mexico. I bought this item for reading and I also have a resale antique market and it was sold within two days of being on the shelf. My antique booth is only a few miles from Gonzales Texas. As always the experience of buying on eBay for resale and for personal collections have been rewarding.As a Texas Native I have great interest in Texas History.
