Easy A gets an A+
'Easy A' could possibly be that breath of fresh air we all have been longing for from the high school satire genre. What we are given is a talented lead actress, clever and witty humor, and a movie that is a great addition to a line of high school comedies. Emma Stone gives a star-breaking performance as Olive Penderghast, a smart and genuine character that is portrayed as a wallflower to her fellow high school peers, but knows her way around the books. Her sharp dialect and personality is what makes her stand out from other leading protagonists. Her life turns out of control when she lies about losing her virginity and is overheard by the school's Christian dictator, Marianne, played by Amanda Bynes. From there, she uses the rumor mill to her advantage, and to others ... 'Easy A' could possibly be that breath of fresh air we all have been longing for from the high school satire genre. 'Easy A' features an excellent ensemble cast featuring Patricia Clarkson and Stanley Tucci as Olive's hilarious parents and Gossip Girl's Penn Badgley as Woodchuck Todd. Director Will Gluck accomplishes at bringing an intelligent script to life with striking and visual appeal of Ojai, California. The film also features an excellent post-modern rock and alternative soundtrack featuring Angus and Julia Stone, Lenka, and Sweet Thing, that helps the movie flow quite nicely. In the end, 'Easy A' is one of the biggest surprises of the year that is worth the ticket price.

Easy A is too true
After watching this movie you will fall in love with Emma Stone. Her performance is so real and engaging that I must give credit also to some great writing, which is rare in Hollywood anymore. Ms Stone also has the luxury of a very talented supporting cast. Amanda Bynes is perfection as the flawed, born again Christian. Lisa Kudrow does her expected, slightly unwrapped, and comedic character, and rest of the cast is right on point. This qualifies as a desert island classic.After watching this movie you will fall in love with Emma Stone. Great movie - - - Well worth watching!
This movie was full of laughs. Emma Stone played the part perfectly, and was very believable in her role. After telling her best friend that she had been with a guy over the weekend in an attempt to get her friend off her back, Emma's character, Olive, gained instant popularity when the school's "Jesus Freak", hilariously played by Amanda Bynes, overheard and spread the rumor around school. "Olive" later confesses her secret to one of her gay guy friends, and together they devise a plan to help him also gain popularity, by pretending to sleep together, so the students won't think he's gay and will stop picking on him. One thing leads to another, and the "nerds" of the school guilt her into helping them out as well. Things ... This movie was full of laughs. Olive is a smart girl happy to stay in the shadows of high school, until her good friend, Brandon (Dan Byrd), who's gay, begs her to pretend to have sex with him so the rest of the school will stop picking on him. She obliges, but soon she picks up not one but two reputations--as the girl who sleeps around, and, on the down-low, as the girl who'll pretend to sleep with a guy so he won't be branded a virgin. And it's to the cast's and the writer's credit that the audience is kept engaged, and guessing, till the very end. Easy A should be awarded exactly that.

it reminded me of another movie , but this had a twist . She said she did things with guys for $$ or gift certificates etc . She figured no harm done ( in her mind ) by helping other guys get a reputation and she actually does nothing . Problem is she receives reputation for getting around . This whole situation turns into a love story at the end , Emma Stone is a great actress , I cant say this is a family movie but I am happy to have seen it .it reminded me of another movie , but this had a twist .
