It has the Power
I sought this out partly out of curiosity and partly out of spite. I'd heard good things about the series but didn't know where to watch it, so I tracked down a used copy. What I wasn't expecting was how solid a show it really was! With a few minor exceptions, this series respects the characters and lore set up by previous MotU shows, and provides a positive message at the end of each episode like shows used to do in the 80s. It is still of course primarily directed toward kids, but I was impressed enough by it to try to watch the remaining 20+ episodes.I sought this out partly out of curiosity and partly out of spite. Masters of the Universe legacy lives on!!!
MOTU: Origins for the price, can't beat it. It collects the 1st ten episodes of the 200x series and establishes the roots,layout, who's who so far and obviously origins. It may not get too deep into everyone's origin but it does include material involving about 5-6 characters origins that help lay the groundwork beyond just Prince Adam/He-Man such as the Caste of Grayskull itself, the Powersword, The Sorceress, King Randor, Keldor/Skeletor, ManAtArms and maybe a few others. While not always going too deep with most of em, it does explain more than I expected being a fan of the original series and this just expands the legacy. Problem with viewing
Nothing wrong with the DVDs except that I expected them to play in my DVD player. However, they would not work. The only way to watch them was on the computer. Shame this wasn't obvious when purchasing them.

Passing the Torch
This is a gift for my 5yr old grandson. When his dad was about his age, he LOVED He-man. In fact, he could figure out how many $5 "He-man guys" he could buy with $20 before he could write his name. I've kept those boxes of He-Man toys and plan to give him with Dvd for his birthday next month. Now does that make me a caring Grandma or just an old skinflint trying to clean out my garage by giving used toys?This is a gift for my 5yr old grandson.
