If you are searching for a game that combines elements of horror, action, and drama, then “Rage” is a must-have game for your collection of PS3 video games. The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is the popular predecessor to the PlayStation 4 (PS4). “Rage” has an original release date of October 4, 2011, for North American gamers. Developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks, it boasts both single and multiplayer gaming modes. This is a first-person shooter game that pits characters against a variety of villains. Driving segments are also incorporated into the game’s story to help players travel from mission to mission. As you begin the storyline for “Rage,” you realize that it is set in a spooky, post-apocalyptic world after an asteroid impacts the earth. Human civilization as you know it is destroyed; however, there are survivors. These survivors must ban together to ward off mutants and bandits. Ark Survivor is the name of the main protagonist in “Rage.” This character is a part of the Eden Project, a coordinated effort that sought to place humans in cryogenic pods so that they could repopulate the earth. However, the project has gone horribly wrong. When Ark Survivor wakes up, he is the only human in the underground bunker. As Ark Survivor explores the dangerous new world, he meets a scientist by the name of Dr. Kvasir. Dr. Kvasir helps shed light on the events that occurred while Ark Survivor was frozen, including the creation of mutants. Throughout the rest of the game, Ark Survivor looks for other survivors who can help him fight off the Resistance, a group of survivors who have turned rogue. As you battle bandits, mutants, and rogue survivors, choose from an assortment of conventional and unconventional weapons, such as pistols, shot guns, crossbows, electric arrows, and an edge boomerang known as the wingstick. There are a variety of vehicles that you can use to explore this post-apocalyptic world, including armored dune buggies and ATVs. Players can earn money for more weapons and equipment by participating in races. These races also help increase their level of fame. The exciting single-player campaign for this game takes about 15 hours to complete. Once you have completed this portion of the game, keep your gaming fun going by playing the multiplayer games. There are two types of multiplayer games: Rage Combat Rally and Legends of the Wasteland. In Rage Combat Rally, you use your vehicle to fight rivals and achieve certain checkpoints. During Legends of the Wasteland, you play in a two-player co-op mode throughout eight possible scenarios. Upon its initial release, “Rage” was well-received by critics and gamers. It received a variety of gaming awards thanks to its amazing graphics and shooting mechanics. “Rage” for the PS3 has a rating of “M” for mature, making it a fantastic shooter game for gamers interested in a game with an exciting storyline. If you have difficulty completing one of the portions of the game, a walkthrough video gets you over this hurdle. Utilizing some of the cheats for the PS3 version of the game puts a unique spin on exciting gameplay. Save these cheats for the end so that you do not compromise your progress.

    Rage = Boarderlands + Great Graphics + Smart Enemies - Random Guns - Humor

    The goods: Rage has a lot of good things going for it. It has very nice visuals both in enemies, guns and the environments. The game uses extremely large texture mapping which makes everything look more realistic. Also, the enemies are deadly and are very intelligent. You'll be facing against enemies that use cover effectively, as well as the ones that jump around all ninja-style. The bads: The game has more invisible walls than it should! This makes the gorgeous environments feel restrictive rather than free. In many instances your enemies get more movement freedom than you do. The game doesn't break any new grounds and in many ways similar to Boarderlands (minus the guns and humor).

    Just an awesome game!

    This game is just a really awesome game. Even in standard viewing, the graphics are stunning. They kind of remind me of the graphics from Killzone 3, but a lot easier on the eyes. There are so many elements that really gets you involved and engaged with the story. There are quite a few missions you can go on. Some of the side missions actually help you out in the long run. The weapons and things you can build are some of the coolest Ive seen in a game. The wingstick is definitely a really fun weapon, and being able to build turret drones in the midst of a gun fight is just too cool for words! Not an open world map, but its really cool how the terrain is really geared towards enhancing the driving experience. A lot of ramps and stuff. Im a little disappointed that the multiplayer ...

    fallout + motorstorm = RAGE

    it's been a while since doom3 and quake4. and this is another solid game from ID... the cover boasts 20 awards! the map and character design is excellent. voice acting & SFX are great. fluid gameplay and controls. enemies jump and climb on the environment, they dodge and summersault to avoid your attacks. you can upgrade your weapons and vehicles. and there are cards to collect and play in a fun minigame. some of the textures seem sub par when playing on a big screen up close, and lip-synching is off on some dialogue. DLC is always annoying, but if you activate it after your first play-through it will enhance the replay value.

    AND STILL THE BEST GAME COMPANY ON THE MARKET...ID Most people have No clue about making video games.. ID is a slave to the greedy corporation of activision. Most people are clueless that activision forces ID to make parts for call of duty...READ THE FINE PRINT ON THE GAME! Back when ID was making doom and wolfenstein activision was still working with stick figures on atari. Then some how greedy activision made tony hawk for playstation. This is what made activision able to just buy other companies. They bought ID and Blizzard and run them like a slave shop! They do not put any money into anything that can compete against cod..Even though they are involved in many games made by activision....they won't admit it or tell you.. Anyways this game is very good..I had to give it 4/5 because ...

    New Features Detail textures: enabled "Detail Textures" will improve the quality of the textures close by increasing the sampling rate adaptive accentuated. This does not update or increase the resolution of the base textures included in the game, it also improves the perceived resolution and sharpness of them. This requires lots of calculations and is only recommended on processors with 4 cores or more. Disable this feature if you experience performance problems, stability or if the game warns you that is out of memory while loading a map. The "Detail Textures" is under Settings - Video. Transcoding Test: added a new test that determines how fast you can become compressed textures from the hard disk format to a format suitable for the video card.
