Fantastic cart from fantastic company
I was using my tried and true Ortofon Red that I got to replace my amazing but old Shure MR-V15V. I had an extra head shell and wanted to load it with something. So I stumbled on a YouTube vid about the Goldring E3. So I gave it a shot. Dialing it in was easy with a recommended 2.0g tracking weight the super elliptical diamond gives a great low end transition through the spectrum from 20hz to 20hz. I liked the clear layers you can hear during high cymbal crashes and the richness of the overall sound. It shines on Steely Dan and Adele. I really enjoyed the detail of my Mozart pressing by the London Philharmonic. With this needle you can really start to hear Bang for buck this is my new favorite needle. Turntable: Yamaha PF-1200, Vincent PHO-8 phono preamp, Carver C-1 Preamp, Carver M1.5t ... I was using my tried and true Ortofon Red that I got to replace my amazing but old Shure MR-V15V. Brought a old turntable to life
The Goldring E3 replaces a Grado M1+ cartridge on my Denon DP-62L turntable. Very different from.the Grado M1+. The Goldring E3 is very bright with vocals, acoustic guitar etc. Where the Grado was a lot darker and more lower end predominant. Very clean highs, mids are decent not as good as you would get with a Ortofon 2m Blue but there is a significant price difference between the two. The Goldring E3 is very sensitive like the Ortofon cartridges and you you will here little imperfections in the vinyl like you would with the Ortofon. The Grado M1+ not so much. To conclude, for the price you can buy a Goldring E3 I would jump on it for any sub five hundred dollar turntable. Goldring E3 is wonderfull, will just get better as it breaks in.
This Goldring Phono Cartridge sounds great. It was easy to mount and align. Just make sure you have a phono stage that is good for MM cartridges.

Very affordable, easy to set up and sounds fantastic.
I have never had a stereo cartridge that was easier to install than this one, and I have installed a lot over the last 50 plus years. For the very affordable price the Goldring E3 performs and sounds fantastic.
