Product Information

Players help three resourceful orphans work together to protect themselves and their family fortune from their greedy uncle, in this action-adventure game based on the 2004 film starring Jim Carrey. As in the movie, as well as the amusingly gloomy children's novels that inspired it, this Lemony Snicket game follows the notably unfortunate exploits of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. Players will need to make use of each character's particular skills as they make their way through the game's 20-plus missions. In addition, they'll need to invent new tools to help them through certain situations, such as the bad-guy clearing Bopper, the sludge-traversing Stilts, and the rocket-pack Booster. Mission locations include, Count Olaf's Mansion, Uncle Monty's hedge maze, and Aunt Josephine's lakeside shack.

This game was really, really great! Not a fan of the movie, but the game is well worth playing! I love the searching aspect of the game. When I thought I was stuck, I really wasn't---some items you need you can't get until you have done other things. Although I am an adult, I did need a bit of help when it came to the henchmen and crabs at the dock----there were quite alot of them, and I just couldn't shoot fast enough. The various items that Violet and Klaus use to get through the game are rather inventive and cool. You may want to aim your target eye above your target (like the crabs) just a bit to do the job. Sunny, the baby, was a corker---you will use her for crawling into areas to help Klaus and Violet. Some areas you will think you will never get through, but you will with ... Repeating by learning the pattern or route will finally get you through, like in the house when the floorboards are flying away or when Violet has to float with the umbrella around the halls landing on various floorings (some will dump you and then some are stable) to get to the next door. Whether you like the movie or not, you love this game. It is addictive and mind-stimulating and just a lot of great fun!!!

great game for 7-10 year olds
This game would appeal to kids who really like a challenge. The best part about playing this game is that you can kill rats and fight a guy who has hooks for hands. You also get to make all kinds of different inventions. It's a great game for 7-10 year olds.

such a fun game!!
this is a great kids and family game, great graphics, you have to use your brain to figure things out in this. It is based on the movie, however there are more interesting things in this game. there is no cause for concern of children playing this, no bad words, no gory violence, they do have to swat at rats and things like this. Does have some spooky sequences which may frieghten younger children. my daughter is almost nine and loves this game. I am very strict when it comes to what I let my children view and this is great for them.this is a great kids and family game, great graphics, you have to use your brain to figure things out in this. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events PS2
I bought this game because I love the movie and Jim Carrey. I had a feeling that the game would be awesome as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Jim Carrey's voice was actually used and recorded for the game, as well as the other actors. Gameplay is wonderful and very interesting, great plotline that will keep players interested. Highly recommended.
