This is and excellent picture of life in Bagdad post US
This is a true look at what goes on on the streets of Iraq, Gaza and the West Bank. Filmed with no government censors, Micheal walks the steets to mingle with the real people. You meet soldiers and learn that all the people involved in Iraq that are actually "in" Iraq want the war to end and peace to begin. Most importantly, you learn that "habibe" is arabic for "good friend". I especially like the scene where Micheal is standing on the Isreal/Gaza boarder talking to an Isreali boarder guard. The guard says Micheal is a little crazy for playing the guitar as he talks. Micheal makes a deal, "you take your finger off that trigger, I'll take mine off the guitar". I suggest everyone in America watch this movie before going to the polls next week. It's very sad to see children with there legs ... But even in the middle of so much tragedy, you'll see Iraqi children playing in the streets and young adults playing in bands at rehersal. You'll also visit Iraq's first tatoo parlor, outlawed by Sadaam's government. This movie can be shared and played over and over, and I believe that it's an important tool in getting the word out.

Brave, inspring, raw and touching
I would like to start by saying that I love Michael Franti and Spearhead and have yet to hear an album that was not of pure quality. The music is from the heart and socially conscious. I bought this DVD out of curiosity and I found it to be brave, inspiring, raw and touching that this music man took the time to investigate the human cost of war. I saw a side of the middle east they don't show us on mainstream media. I was able to identify with with the women and families and their simple request to be left alone in their own country. I have been completely against the occupation since Bush began it but am even more angered by it now. This is a great DVD for anyone curious about the human cost of war and what the US is doing to civilians in the Mid East or how they aid Israel.I would like to start by saying that I love Michael Franti and Spearhead and have yet to hear an album that was not of pure quality. The JERK that I won it from never mailed it, then shut down his ebay account!! What an ASS!! I lost out twice on this one. The money and a great film by Michael Franti. WTF?? What goes around comes around I guess? Live by PEACE, LOVE and HAPPIENESS, P
