Absolutely amazing!
By far, the most enjoyable Christmas movie in a long time; visually stunning, Chris Van Allsburg's wonderful tale is even better as a movie as it was as a book; the characters, the story, the music and Tom Hank's 5 role performance and Robert Zemeckis's direction of this 'motion capture' animated movie will make you want to see this wonderful story over and over; it's a Christmas tradition by now; I have books,CD, DVD and even a train set; now that I finally have the Blue Ray disc, it's even better; a must for every Christmas lover!By far, the most enjoyable Christmas movie in a long time; visually stunning, Chris Van Allsburg's wonderful tale is even better as a movie as it was as a book; the characters, the story, the music and Tom Hank's 5 role performance and Robert Zemeckis's direction of this 'motion capture' animated movie will make you want to see this wonderful story over and over; it's a Christmas tradition by now; I have books,CD, DVD and even a train set; now that I finally have the Blue Ray disc, it's even better; a must for every Christmas lover!

Christmas Classic - Tom Hanks is an outstanding actor of all time!
"Believe" me.... this is an Excellent movie that can be watched time & time again. Such an excellent message to both young and old. If you're a Train enthusiast like myself..... it makes it all that more fun. Enjoy - And Merry Christmas! P.S. the Extra special footage at the end makes it nice as well.

The new generation Christmas Story
This is an instant classic - perfect for your little one to get into the Chistmas spirit. My 20 month old is in awe of the action and the graphics - he wants to watch it at least twice a day all year long - and we still don't get too tired of it. My 8 year old is the perfect age for the storyline - some of his friends no longer believe in Santa - this movie makes him want to believe. The Polar Express sits along side of Christmas Story as a holiday classic. We love to wacth the faces of our two little guys as they stare at the screen and don't lose interest. A good movie for the Holidays for the family!
Indeed we have some great classic movies for the Holidays, such as Christmas Story, White Christmas, Charlie Brown's Christmas, Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer, etc. There are very few newer movies that are worth having or watching; the Polar Express is one of them. The animation is no doubt one of the best in recent years. It presents a lot of details that all objects are quite realistic. It teaches kids good values without preaching; the story lines are interesting for young and old. I didn't rate it as excellent because the story, at some parts, is a bit scratchy and disconnected.
