Product Information

Cops and hippies never get along. That is, until the MOD SQUAD came along. Debuting in 1968, the hit series offered a countercultural spin on the conventional police drama. Able to go places normal cops can't, the Mod Squad includes a diverse group of young adults who have had their share of trouble with the law: rich kid turned car thief Peter (Michael Cole); Watts rioter Linc (Clarence Williams III); and free-spirited runaway Julie (Peggy Lipton). Together, they form a tenuous alliance with the fuzz, going undercover to nab lowlifes who prey on the young, while also grappling with the moral dilemmas presented by selling out to "the man." Though the premise may seem far-fetched, the series is actually based on the experiences of series creator Bud Ruskin, who worked in an L.A. narcotics squad. This collection presents the first volume of the landmark series' debut season.

My favorite kung fu movie. Unfortunately the movie arrived loose in the case. DVD has scratches! *Picture quality is extremely poor. Offering something like this as new is a bit cheeky.

The dvd was new and never opened. The disc probably came loose during shipping , which would cause the scratches. Something I cannot control. This dvd is all region,which is not the best quality. Region1 is the best. They are not available outside the U.S.

    SOLID entertainment!

    What a fun way to go back to the late 60's! Pete, Linc & Julie show how you can be SOLID citizens without compromising your values. I especially enjoy the colorful settings, clothing styles and GROOVY language. Not to mention that Pete (Michael Cole) is a hottie! For being a groundbreaking series (First woman and First colored person in lead roles) the acting is superb! If only all the FUZZ were like those 3, maybe people would be more willing to help out. ANYWAY, AWESOME SHOW!!

    The Mod Squad

    I loved seeing it again - this time in color and not having to fight with rabbit ears (remember those??!!) However I don't like the fact that this season is split in two different DVD's and that people get them confused. Why not tell people straight out that season 1 is split (don't get me going on the Ironside TV Series - releasing only part one of the first and second seasons. Only after some research did I find the complete 1st season or the complete second season- I don't know how many other consumers will spend their free time looking for part 2 - then then finding out there is no part two for season one. Irratating your consumers!! You'll stay in business for a long time. You must buy the complete season.) Season 1 and Volume 1 and season 1 and Volume 2 doesn't make most ...

    Mod Squad, The First Season, Vol. 1 (2007 DVD)

    I never get tired of watching TV shows that I grew up. The Mod Squad had 2 guys and a girl who were hip to the scene of what was happening around them. They went undercover for the cops, even though they never had any police training and got the bad guys. How cool is that! They wore the hippest cloth's and grooved to latest songs on AM radio. The show may seemed dated today for viewers who are not familar with this show, but after viewing a couple of episodes, you will dig it! Peggy Lipton who plays Julie went off in real life and married Quincy Jones and made a few movies. She will always be associtated with this tv show.     "Heavy"

    The Mod Squad is a series from the late 1960's showing the actions of three young adults who are undercover cops utilized for infultrating into rolls where traditional cops wouldn't be useful. Each episode is interesting, exciting and shows an era gone-bye where culture and cars are far more interesting than today! Great series and easy to get caught up in wanting to see more.

    Mod Squad - Season 1, Vol 1

    I loved this show and still do. This television show is timeless. Though set in the late 60's early 70's, we are experiencing the same thing now in this world as we were experiencing back then (ex. the middle east war and the war against drugs). The actors were great and the guest stars that was in the episodes were of top caliber. The love that the four main actors (Michael Cole, Peggy Lipton, Clarence Williams, III and Tige Andrews)had for each other definitely showed in their characters they portrayed. I wish that they would release Seasons 3-5. This is such a great show, that I hope that everyone would get a chance to see it. It is so amazing that after 40 years, things really did not change.
