Product Information

The anime-based Robotech universe invades the GBA in The Macross Saga with the transformable Veritech Robot Fighter offering three modes of aerial combat: Fighter, Guardian, and Battloid. Four ground-based Destroids (Tomahawk, Defender, Phalanx, and Spartan) provide primary and secondary attacks in several of the ten real-time side-scrolling levels. Players can assume the identity of Roy Fokker, Rick Hunter, Max Sterling, Miriya, and Ben Dixon, each rated in power, stamina, strength, piloting, and speed, and unlock hidden characters as the game progresses.<br><br>In the fight against the invading Zentraedi, players defend Macross City and the SDF-1, go on seek and destroy missions, rescue characters, attack enemy fleets led by Khyron and Dolza, capture a Robotech factory, and take the fight to the wastelands of space. Power-ups are available for the five character traits, and the Veritech Valkyrie fighter can be enhanced with health, ammo, spread shot, laser, explosive shells, ghost fighters, bombs, and a reflect warhead.<br><br>In addition to the ten single-player missions, VS play offers up to four gamers an opportunity to play as either a Zentraedi (Battle Pod, Officer Pod, Female, and Male Power Armor) or as the Robot Defense Force (using Destroids only). Three types of games, Robo Match, Team Match, and Robo Tag, are available in VS mode. A Co-op mode offers two-player cooperative action, though both multiplayer modes require each player to have a GBA system, game cartridge, and the appropriate number of link cables.

    Robotech: The Macross Saga (Game Boy Advance)

    I bought Robotech: The Macross Saga for Game Boy Advance about 5 weeks ago. Love fact it following the Macross series plot line. It will be added to the Robotech collection that been collecting. Classic two dimensions shooter game with power ups and has all the characters from series. Fighter does all three conversion. Plane to gerwalk to bioriod mode. All the vehicle are super deform size which makes them look childish. Game play is awesome and keep you on your toes. Only thing dislike is how big the boss are in the game. Recommend getting this game if anybody into the Robotech series and into shooters game.

    Robotech: The Macross Saga Rocks!

    I was surprised to see this game available. I never heard of it till I was searching on ebay. I like this game because it reminds me of a hyped out 1942 arcade game. This one you can transform and is rather enjoyable. Definately a good addition to your game collection.

    Robotech: The Macross Saga GBA

    I bought this because I am a Robotech fan, as well as a shooter fan. This game combines both and is challenging. The cool thing about this shooter is that they incorporate the varitech transformations into the game play to keep it interesting. Not the best shooter I ever played, but Robotech fans should be entertained.
