Classic Lang
I bought this movie after seeing it on TV, the plot is not heavy but it has actors that I have come to appreciate from their respective body of work, people such as Walter Pidgeon, Joan Bennett, George Sanders, the three key players in this film. The film is somewhat dark and definitely characteristic of Fritz Lang who was the director and this film, and marked his unique style into the American cinema. Fritz Lang who is one of many who escaped from Nazi Germany, it is interesting how he had a chance get in his own personal attack towards Nazi Germany and help show what Germany of the time was about, too the American people at a time when America was not even involved in WWII. When most films now days seem to feel they must include a love interest in the plot, lets face it, real life ... Film critics or people with a supposed broader view and background in the cinema arts that approach the subject with more colorful and eloquent descriptions of such films, all I can say is whatever! I found the film very entertaining, held my interest the entire duration of the movie and is a classic piece I am proud to have as part of my video collection.

He Didn't Pull The Trigger
This is a phenomenal, WW2, film noir drama. A big game hunter has his sights on Hitler but hesitates and is captured by the Gestapo before he can pull the trigger. The rest of the film is about his escape from Nazi Germany and his pursuit by the Nazis. It's a "what if" kind of a story but is fantastic in the telling. It's pure Fritz Lang and it is a compelling movie with action and intrigue only he can conjure up. I recommend this film for any serious, film fan. Man Hunt should be in the Top Ten Movies of all Time.
Fritz Lang is the director, he was a German native and came to the United States in the early 1930's. Fritz Lang is one of the best directors of all movies. Mr. Lang did NOT like Nazi's. The movie is about a famous big game hunter, who decides to see if it would be possible he could kill Adolf Hitler. No more spoilers . Walter Pidgeon gives a flawless, & brilliant performance. Mr. Pidgeon's far surpass the A- to B rolls Hollywood gave him. I cannot emphasize enough what an important black-and-white movie this is. A Classic
A great movie directed by Fritz Lang. A world war 2 tale of a man who attempts to assassinate Hitler. That's just the beginning of this suspenseful drama with a moving subplot involving a down on her luck woman who provides a safe haven for our hero on the run. Wonderful entertainment.
