    Useful to sous vide novices and those with some experience.

    This book will be helpful for people who are new to sous vide and also those with some experience. The book is simple and straight forward, if you would like an explanation of why you are doing something it tells you. If you would like to just go to a recipe and follow it you can also do that. I have been using sous vide for about three years and this book will make it easy to cook foods that I haven't tried before. The recipes from Americas Test Kitchen are usually fool proof.

    pretty darn illuminating re what it's all about (... even beats the HOkey POkey)

    If you buy only one sous vide book in your lifetime to guide your sous vide cooking lifetime, this is the one to acquire. It approaches the method as a science.

    Great book on a different way to cook.

    America's Test Kitchen book on Sous Vide cooking is a well-written, easy to read and use book by knowledgeable cooks. I've used it to create some wonderful meals and am looking forward to keep trying their different recommendations. You don't have to be an experienced cook to make use of this book. Well worth the price.
