This reader's guide is absolutely loaded with information. Random bits of info from the 13 Legend of Drizzt books this guide covers fill every page. Included are a synopsis of the Legend of Drizzt books, small sections of info on just about every major and minor character from the novels, information on the various race's gods, and a fantastic bestiary among other things. The art that litters every page is beautiful, and adds a new level to the previously imagination-only generated character images. The only problem that I had with it is the continuity issue that comes up when the character and creature information is read. A lot happened to Drizzt and friends over the course of 13 books and certainly if everything was told of every character it just wouldn't fit into any one book. The ... The author picks specific points of the stories and enters it in the characters' mini-biographies. Some of these chosen points of interest happen way before others listed, and if the information isn't read with the other books in mind (like a reader's guide should be) then some parts can get confusing. A good example of this would be the discussion of characters and their plots and goals in the present or future tense when those characters are long ago deceased.

Good read
A great book for fans of the series. Full of great drawings and detailed maps which enhance the stories. Would definitely recommend this book.

Hugely brilliant book value for money
I bought this product because it pertains to my favourite fantasy character of all time. Like everything about this book nothing to dislike. How can this compare? Nothing comes close.
